We are Marriott Timeshare owners, have a marriott visa and a rewards card. I say that to say that we only stay at Marriott's for obvious reasons. But that said, I was still very disappointed with the Fairfield. I know it is the lowest level Marriott so I think my expectations were reasonable. I frequently stay at the Fairfield when on business in McAllen. Because I stay in many Marriott properties, I can tell you that this one is a cut above. It is a fairly new hotel that always seems to stay clean and well organized. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. more
