The Omni is a old favorite of mine in Houston and this past weekend was our first time back in a couple of years. The location is one of the best in Houston for access to shopping, dining, major interstates and even downtown. It's tucked between a small forest and some office buildings and a new high rise condo but... more

My wife and I stayed here April 12 & 13th 208. We were having a romantic getaway for the weekend. The hotel staff treated us like KING & QUEEN. This place is beautiful. The place is spotless. I am a clean freak too. Staff always greeted meby Mr. Brown. It's a warm feeling. The rooms are big. The food was... more

It's worth noting that they have great kid suites...the kids get their own room with two twin beds, some toys, bean-bag chairs, and a stepstool for the sink the bathroom, to name just a few things. (The suite is decorated by Pottery Barn Kids!) Then the adults are in the adjoining room, enjoying some peace and quiet. We REALLY enjoyed... more

We were warmly welcomed and even offered complimentary glasses of champagne while we checked in. The room was nice and the bathroom was extremely spacious however, the sheets were kind of scratchy and not as soft as those found in a five star hotel. When we left, we wanted to grab breakfast and the concierge promptly printed out a map... more

This hotel needs help. Rooms are dated colonial decor that look straight out of a bad Ethan Allen catalog. Carpet had stains. Bathroom looked like a Holiday Inn. Concierge service was poor. Asked to speak to a manager about a problem but was told he was on a conference call and too busy to talk to us. Manager never followed... more

Stayed here for a business trip in September 2007. Had a guaranteed late check in, and almost didn't have room - apparently they had overbooked but a no-show allowed me to have a space. I later heard there were many overbooked guests who didn't get a room - and most other hotels were full. I didn't hear fully how they... more

I booked a room during our Labor day weekend get away; however, I was disappointed upon arrival. The hotel is old and in need of renovation. There were not enough outlets to plugin coffee maker. The bottom of the swimming pool was peeling off. My two kids did not get their goodie bags as mentioned with the promotion. Service was... more

This hotel is pretty nice, but I'm not sure why it's sometimes rated 5*. This hotel opened as a Four Seasons so maybe it just holds on to that prestige, but I didn't find anything overly impressive. The service staff was polite and the facilities were great for a conference. The rooms themselves seemed a little outdated, but nice. The... more

I spent an extended weekend at the Omni to take a break from the Icon where i usually stay. i thought it looked great being a five star hotel and all, but it was generally quite a basic hotel. The staff were okay as was the service. The decor was rather dulll and nothing was exceptional including their food. more

I stayed one night at the Omni Houston. The setting is serene and the hotel is quite upscale. Check in was efficient, and the room was larger than usual. The bathroom was particularly nice, although the bath towels were inconvenient, and a bowed shower curtain rod would have been nicer than the traditional straight one. The bed was comfortable and... more
