This is a conference hotel but they seemed unprepared for the influx of the crowd for a conference. Room was not ready for 2 hours and I was sent a confirmation for a refridgerator and when I got there none were available. Between the Valet and the room my luggage was lost. The valet parking is 25.00 a day, and... more

I frequently stay at Hyatt for two reasons...quality and service. The Hyatt in downtown Houston is the EXCEPTION! This was absolutely the worst Hotel experience. We confirmed a portable crib at check in and after 3 calls, we find out they were all out of them, but would have one bright and early the next morning. Think it showed up?... more

We apologize for a less than perfect stay at our property and have taken note. We are currently undergoing a comprehensive, $35-million revitalization project to include the transformation of all 960 guestrooms, the addition of new, high-tech meeting space and a redesigned Lobby Bar. In May, we opened Shula’s Steak House, themed after the Miami Dolphins’ 1972 “Perfect Season,” to...

I stayed 5 nights at the Houston Hyatt for a convention, expecting a quality and relaxing stay. In fact, it was not even close. First, they did not have the room that we reserved. The elevators were so slow and crowded that sometimes it took over 30 minutes to catch one. The first day, the maid service was ok. The... more

Stayed one night for a business trip and really was impressed with this Hotel. Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The size of the room was on the average size. Everything was clean and up to date. The bathroom had a few problems such as the shower leaked and the fixtures looked a bit older and in... more

Nice hotel with a huge, well furnished lobby. You'll pay $27.50 to park your car there, versus less than $10 at neighboring parking garages. Comfortable beds, nice touches in a dated room. Marble countertops in the bathroom, but otherwise outdated with a dinky tub. Old tube TV, $7 bottle of water (what is with this trend?), internet access for a... more

Nice Hotel. I paid 150.00 Just a decent Hyatt. The rooms could use some remodling. The TV's are a joke. The are like 17" old junkers. I was kind of embarrassed for them. But overall a decent place, but Hyatt can do better. more

I was in Hyatt this past week for a convention. Everyone from bell captin to front desk ppl at Hyatt are extra friendly. The hotel is going through remodeling right now. The room I have on the 7th floor is outdated with old/dirty rug and noisy air condition. I had breakfast buffet at the resturant inside the hotel and it... more

Visiting Houston for a large convention, I selected this hotel because of the standards I have found the Hyatt properties have across the country. Boy, is THIS hotel an exception! The lobby is small and always full of people carousing late and again very early, the hotel is much noisier that other Hyatt's I have enjoyed. Worse, the ongoing renovations... more

I was at the Hyatt Regency for business, the hotel lobby was always bustling with people and very lively. The staff were very helpful and personable. The only downside was that the hotel is undergoing room renovations and I was in one of the old rooms so there was wallpaper peeling off the wall in the bathroom and old furniture.... more

Stayed for one night on March 11, 2008 at the downtown Hyatt Regency. Check-in was brisk and uneventful. The room was large and old. The rug was rundown, the TV was too small for the room, and the furnishings look as if they had seen better days. The bed was comfy, although the sheets were a little over laundered and... more
