When you wake up to find a dead cockroach in your living room, all other pluses and minuses become inconsequential. When you wake up the next morning to find that roach's mate scurrying about looking for his pal, it's all over folks. We were staying there with two young kids who were all over the floors and one was even... more
The rooms face an inner courtyard area and the parking lot. This design means that you will catch EVERY little noise that occurs with the other guests as they are walking to their rooms, parking their cars, etc. Think of luggage wheels rolling on cement. Think of car alarms. Think of a couple arguing about exactly where the heck their... more
This hotel was obviously not originally constructed as a Residence Inn, but presumably converted from a previous life as apartments. The layout is unlike any Residence Inn I've stayed before, with most of the suites on the second, third, and fourth levels around the perimeter of the property over covered parking on the ground level, with a separate centrally-located building... more
Really liked our stay. Friendly and helpful staff (THEY looked up information up on Internet instead of just directing me to their business center computer. GREAT breakfast and location. The 1 bedroom suite with King bed was HUGE (this location looks like it used to be apartments) Only nitpicks: no elevator to our room on 2nd story. (Elevator IS in... more
I stayed here on a mixed business and pleasure trip. The location is ideal for the Galleria and indeed the city. The accomdation was excellent. Like a studio flat, kitchen facilities and comfy sofa give a home away from home feel. High speed internet access was easy with my creaky old laptop and the service from staff fantastic. They're happy... more
This hotel is extremely well-kept, clean, and with a courteous and helpful staff. Located a half-block from the Galleria and close to incredible shopping and bustle, but amazingly quiet and comfortable. Queen suite is a true suite. Only stayed overnight, but would be a great long-term stay site, with ample size and well-stocked with conveniences. more
I was at this hotel when Hurricane Rita was supposed to hit Houston. The staff was great, sent out a flyer about what was happening and what to do if the hurricane hit. I was in a studio room on the 2nd floor, not really any noise problems except from the neighbors when they walked past my door or stood... more
The prior review covered pretty much everything. I'm contributing as well because I stayed in one of the one bedroom suites. I also paid $75 a night. The suite has a fully equipped kitchen with dishes, dishwasher, microwave, frig and pots and pans. The living room couch was a fold out bed and the king size bed was in a... more
I was very impressed with this hotel. Here's what I liked about it: Location: It is right across the street from the Galleria and in a very convenient location next to the loop highway and really close to downtown via Westheimer Road. It was in a quite area that felt safe (which is good since I was traveling by myself).... more
