My Husband and I stayed 3 nights here in October 2007. The only complaint we had was the bed was quite hard. The room was clean and everything worked. We enjoyed having the continental breakfast which was included in the moderate price for the room. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the birds dive for bread tossed... more

my wife and I had a couple of days so we decided to take the 3 hour drive to Galveston. After hanging out on Seawall blvd we decided to go ahead and get a room and spend the night. We thought it would be nice to stay in a hotel right on the water and free fishing off the peer... more

Okay. The hotel is old and in serious need of renovation. The elevators should be condemned and security could be better. The rooms, carpets, and furniture are of Motel 6/Super 8 quality. They should also lose--or redefine--the "continental breakfast." But the front desk people are great, the rates reasonable, the hotel is totally convenient (walking distance) to excellent restaurants and... more

Visited a friend in Houston who took me on a day trip to Galveston. Went to the bar and decided to stay over night. We had no reservation and simply walked in and were treated as old friends. Hotel smelled liked you would expect it (it;s over the water!!!!) Haved stayed on houseboats in the Carribbean and Puerto Rico......They all... more

My husband and I stay in Galveston on long weekends many times a year. We never stayed at the Flagship and were exicited to book the Labor Day weekend there...the price was 149.00 a night. The hotel is very old and in need of face lift. The views from the rooms were pretty, but my husband also viewed some guy... more

My husband and I stayed for three nights and four days. He had always wanted to stay there, and despite all the negative reviews we read about this hotel, we chose to give it a try. The staff and front desk were wonderful. Too bad the room wasn't. It had a very old and stale smelling mattress and carpet. The... more

This was the worst hotel experience EVER! The outdated room smelled musty and moldy. There was even mold and dust piled on the vents in the bedroom and bathroom . The carpet was dirty and we even had 2 guest roaches crawl in for the night. Cleanliness is the most important asset to a hotel and the Flagship failed miserably.... more

I was disappointed from the moment I walked in the hotel. Check-in was fast, but waiting on the only 2 outdated elevators to take us to our room took 10 minutes. When we got to our room, we went to the balcony where we found a pigeon nesting on it. I dared not disturb a nesting pigeon, but how did... more

This hotel was nasty. We stayed for the experience of staying at a hotel that was built over the water and while the view from the balcony was awesome it was not worth it. We could not even enjoy the balcony because there was water coming off the roof of the hotel (air conditioning drain??) and drenching the balcony. When... more
