The Doubletree Memphis Downtown is ideally situated for the tourist who wants close access to Beale Street, Autozone Park, FedEx Forum, and other downtown attractions. I stayed in a standard room and it was very comfortable, with lots of pillows on the bed. Valet parking is $20 per day for hotel guests, so keep that in mind as you budget... more

I just want to warn future visitors to this hotel about the things that I saw and that I did not expect from a hotel of this class. The absolute worst thing was the awful gold color carpet. It was pitiful-- very worn and dirty looking. I have seen better decorated rooms at much lower priced hotels. There were visable... more

The halls in the upper floors are not air-conditioned and are a hideous shade of congrete gray. Ugly gold carpet is FILTHY! Rooms are tiny and old. Very noisy from both outside noise and the halls. Ice machine ran out on most floors the night I was there- had to go down 5 floors to get ice. Shower curtain smelled... more

Booked a smoking room for 200/nt with taxes and parking on a Thursday. A little expensive considering someone on tripadvisor just wrote she got her room for 89/nt. Anyway, this hotel is bustling. There was a ballgame across the street so that added to the bustle of the area. It is a tight fit pulling in their valet area. Valet... more

Just returned from two night stay on the 7th floor. This hotel employs a friendly staff (Karen at the front desk deserves wine and roses), gives wonderful service, and provides personal attention. The hotel is two blocks south of Beale Street and right across from Autozone Park, home to the Memphis Redbirds (AAA St. Louis Cardinals team). This is a... more

I got this hotel off Hotwire for $89/night, so it was a great deal, we thought. Husband, 2 1/2 year-old and 10-month-old sons, and myself stayed for four nights in June. It's super close to Beal Street, which we just walked down during the day to get a feel of it, the zoo, and river, and the ballpark. So, it... more

I was recently in Memphis for business, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Doubletree. The lobby was huge and they had this giant facade that had been reconstructed with the original bricks inside the hotel atrium. My room was comfortable and had a great workspace with free wireless internet, which helped me catch up. One plus was the... more

This is a nice hotel, with very good and responsive staff. Only one word of caution. We booked a nonsmoking corner room. We were given one on the northwest side of the hotel, and it smelled of smoke. We recognized it immediately and we were assured it was a non smoking room. Air freshener helped, but we smelled smoke throughout... more

I was here on a Saturday night in May - fairly busy weekend night in downtown Memphis. LOCATION - Really doesn't gey better. Right across the street (you can touch it, it's so close) from the ballpark. Bealle Street is only 2-3 blocks away. Restaurants, bars, shopping, sights....it's all very, very close. NOISE - Bring your earplugs.. This is a... more

The Doubletree is a nice hotel with a great location to Beale. Only a 2 block walk. Our room was clean, quiet, spacious and very comfortable. The bed was great with lots of pillows. Everything was very clean in the room except the old stained carpet but rarely do I ever walk barefoot on hotel carpets anyway so not that... more
