Since Pierre doesn't have a Hilton, Marriott, or other big-name property, the Governor Inn is OK. It's a good value for the $$$. It has free wireless internet, rooms are clean & spacious, breakfast in the AM. But it isn't going to "wow" you. I heard that the Best Western - Ramkota and Holiday Inn are also good choices. more

Stayed for one night in August, 2007. The Governor's is a good budget hotel. The pluses are that it has microwaves and fridges in the rooms. Free wireless internet which I was able to get in my room. Great hotel! I will definitely stay there again if I'm in Pierre. Front desk staff were very nice and helpful with directions and suggestions. Very clean hotel. Nice indoor pool and hot tub. What a lovely little motor inn. The staff could not be nicer - fresh coffee (or iced tea) and fresh baked cookies at the front desk, excellent restaurant recommendations.
