This is a very small hotel with only eight rooms. One cannot expect availability of personnel as in a large luxury hotel. The inn is nice with beautiful public space and very nice rooms. It is expensive but ok if you have to be in the area. The restaurant was not well attended when we were there. Prices are quite... more

I read the following reviews with horror, as I had already booked a room at Sunnyledge and paid the 50% Saturday-night deposit for early August 2008. So I felt I had to write a review after we had a nice stay. This was supposed to be a special birthday for my husband. Bottom line: we would stay at Sunnyledge again.... more

We paid $139.00 for a little slice of heaven at Sunnyledge. Sure, there are some tiles that need repair, and the robes are starting to be a little less fuzzy, but this place is so beautiful, and out of the ordinary, and inexpensive!!!, that it's totally worth it. We have had friendly, polite service from nice young kids working there.... more

The staff were not interested in meeting the needs of the guests. Staff did not know such things as how to get to the airport, or where a good restaurant was located. No one helped with luggage and there is no elevator. Breakfast was poor with only English muffins offered one morning and nothing available another morning. The rooms are... more

Had to interupt woman at front desk who was reading a magazine to be checked in. Was not showed where anything was. Waited several minutes in dining room in morning for breakfast to no avail! Again, front desk was too busy reading!! I asked to speak to management she said she was it... are you kidding??? Do not go to... more

We actually did not stay in the hotel - we arrived on August 26, 2007 at 1:30 PM for brunch. There were no parking spots in their tiny parking lot (it held about 8 cars) and a sign in the park saying that it was valet only. My boyfriend waited in the car while I went in to ask about... more

Booked for 2 nights as we were visiting our daughter nearby. Arrived on a Saturday evening (at about 6pm) and parked with difficulty (parking is very limited), At check-in we were informed that we had been given a different room than booked, but at a lower rate (as it had a separate bathroom), the girl at reception did however ask... more

I had a very pleasant stay for two nights at this hotel. My room and bath were large, clean and comfortable. There is beautiful woodwork and original 1800's decor in this interesting building. Very convenient to Shadyside, Squirrel Hill, and Oakland. more

If you like feeling like you in 1982 with terrible decor, ulgly, worn carpet and dirty linens this place is for you. Shower curtain was thin, cheap and disgusting and bathroom was tiny and cramped. The rooms have windows above the inside doors. At night, the light from the hall shines directly into your room and there is no way... more

I stayed at the Sunnyview last week. I arrived in the middle of the night. I went to the room. Although seemingly clean, the pillowcases were completely wrinkled and had little black marks on them like they had been caught in the dryer door. The garbage had not been carried out of the bathroom from the previous guests. The toilet... more
