After all of the energy it takes to plan and execute a wedding, Verana provides the perfect relaxed environment in which to honeymoon. It is pure bliss to be perched beneath one of their signature bright orange umbrellas next to the pool on the hillside overlooking the sea... The outside world with all its emails, phones and TVs seems a... more

Verana was even MORE beautiful than we expected. Having emptied my savings account on the trip, and not been on vacation in 9months, and having studied the website and trip advisor and photos in considerable detail (!), I knew there was a strong likelihood that I'd only end up being disappointed. But I wasn't. It surpassed my wildest imaginings. We... more

Wow! Verana was just about everything we hoped it would be for our Honeymoon. Getting there was fun, the people were friendly, the spa was fantastic, the food was magnificent, and our room, The Palapa, capitalized on the amazing views and breezes. There's really nothing we would change about our experience and we're thankful to everyone there for such an... more

Stunning, absolutely unique and wonderful and share other users' desire to keep it a secret. The setting is spectacular and loved the isolation from Yelapa village and remoteness from PV. Impossible to decide which room is best. Depends if you want more or less openness, 16 foot ceiling vs. more outdoor space, more ocean vs. jungle views. Still can't make... more

Verana is an absolutely amazing vacation experience. Verana is not for everyone, but for those who want a unique something different – fun, relaxing, and spoiling – this is it. The adventure begins with a 20 minute boat ride from Boca de Tomatlan to either a dock or a small beach, depending on conditions. The dock is closer, but as... more

Verana in Yelapa, Mexico was one of the most beautiful places i have visited (and I grew up in Hawaii!). This is a terrific boutique resort with fabulous food, professional yet friendly and energetic staff and situated in a picturesque village about an hour down the cost from Puerto Vallarta. Without a doubt this is a "Must Do" on your... more

My husband and I got married in St Pete Beach and headed to Verana for our honeymoon. We found it on greatsmallhotels.com and decided we had to go there. We stayed our first night and last night at the apt in Puerto Vallarta. This is where the but comes in...we got settled and decided to go explore the city so... more

It was a gamble picking a place to have our wedding and honeymoon site unseen. But Verana matched and exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the Studio bungalow. I would recommend this bungalow for several reasons. One it is close to the restaurant and spa area. Please note that the property is on a significant hillside. The trek from the... more

My friends got married at Verana in February, and we had the awesome experience of staying in the Jungle Suite and being able to see the rest of the rooms as well. I think it is one of the most beautiful, magical places on earth. A few caveats: 1) The property is on a hill, so if you have a... more

There really is nothing else like this place on the earth. Surrounded by the jungle and the sea, you truly feel one with nature here. I just got back last month from a 8 day trip here with my gf and we couldn't have had a more ideal vacation. Lots of relaxation, good spa treatments, AMAZING food, great views, a... more
