Spa weekend booked August bank holiday weekend. It was a disaster. Reception is very smart and clean, and there is were it ends. The corridors and hotel rooms are aged and tarnished, i'd like to say the rooms were cleaned but that was half hearted. The room itself was ok, bed comfy, tv remote broken, clean bathroom. I was there... more

Decided to stay there as the girlfriend & I were due to spend the day at Drayton Manor Park. The staff were very helpfull and the public areas were very clean and shiny. The room was very nice with wonderful views of the golf course. Two gripes though, the buffet breakfast was cold and the drinks cost silly amounts, £4.50... more

It was our wedding anniversary & my husband loves golf so we decided on the Belfry as we have been before & always enjoyed ourselves. I have to say the main reason i enjoyed it this time is the night club, although its terribly tatty & needs updating, as it has been the same for years. It was just nice... more

I'd heard great things in the past about the Belfry, so was really looking forward to staying there and enjoying a little luxury. I couldn’t be more disappointed. My room was clean but dated. It was too hot as the heated towel rail seemed to be permanently on. Keeping the windows open was difficult as both catches had broken. I... more

Dirty and run down. There were piles of food debris under the table outside our meeting room (which was locked when we got there, and had no tea or coffee). My bathroom fittings were chipped and stained. The exterior lights stayed on all night like an old East German border post, so there was considerable light in my room and... more

One night stay - but would have left if I could. This may once have been 4*, but it is not now. You have to walk miles to get anywhere and the expansion has not got the staffing levels to cope. One highlight was getting to a meeting room to find it locked and being told to walk to the... more

I have stayed at the Belfry many times, either with work or with my husband for a weekend away. The basic rooms are fine, admittedly they are a bit worn but this will be rectified soon. I am not keen on the 'woodland lodge' rooms so if you do book directly and pay the lowest price for a room request... more

I have recently returned from a business meeting at The Belfry and was appalled with the standard of accommodation and also the restaurants. I had requested a superior double room and arrived to find i had been put in a room with very narrow twins beds which was very dark, stuffy (no air-con) and shabby. The trouser press was broken... more

Stayed at the Belfry 22nd August for 1 night as attending a wedding in the area. The bride and groom appeared slightly jealous when I revealed we’d secured a room at one of the most prestigious hotels in the West Mids for half of what they were paying for another hotel down the road – how glad I am that... more

I booked a spa weekend with my 2 daughters, one travelling from Manchester the other London. Arrived Friday evening from work, no water. No shower. No toilet. No facilities requiring water. Rang the desk advised they were informed short notice water going off, not had chance to make alternative arrangements. Nothing offered by hotel, no alterntive arrangements, so had to... more
