I stayed at this hotel for 4 days, and found the staff to be extremely welcoming, pleasant and helpful. The Hotel is very clean and the secure parking is an added bonus. Plenty to choose from at breakfast and would recommend it to anyone on a budget. The rooms are basic, but you get what you pay for. more

Well this hotel is fantastic i had never been down to south sheilds before and this hotel made me very welcome. Run by 2 of the nicest people around you cannot go wrong at Once Upon A Tyne the benefit of secure parking is also something not to miss for someone like me who stores valuable gear in the car.... more

I just smile whenever I think of my stay here. Every time I left the building, one of the young operators would appear and encourage me to "take a piece of fruit" so I wouldn't be hungry on my journey. One morning I went for breakfast and the pieces of fruit were arranged in smiley faces on the tables and... more

A little gem of a bed and breakfast, friendly and with a quirky, yet comfortable lay out. Room was clean, breakfast lovely, and the staff were more than helpful. more
