Staying here should have been excellent but was a let down due to two simple yet essential problems. Firstly the kitchen facilities were poor, with none of the hobs reaching anything other than a lukewarm temperature. Even on full power you could comfortably put your hands on them. we had a lovely sea view which was totally breath taking. the room was very big with six beds and there were only 2 of us! beds were really comfy adn it was spotlessly clean. however we had to share a bathroom/shower room which was horrible. it had sand everywhere on the floors and too many people were sharing it.... more

Base Backpackers is essentially a collection of sheds and tents attached to a Yates Winelodge. You are sort of trapped. Base is a great place to stay during the day. The pool is fantastic and it's a really chilled out place, however at night it is another story.
