This is our favorite BB to stay in the North Carolina Area. It is near downtown(1 block) with great shopping, has a gormet breakfast(really!), offers a 8 course dinner on Sat nights with reservations, and the owners genuinely love to talk to you and get to know you personally. We have spent several weekend at Herren House and always found it very relaxing. Frank & Jackie are excellent innkeepers. Be sure to take advantage of the Saturday evening meal if offered. more

We had a wonderful stay here. The innkeepers were friendly, the food delicious, and the rooms extremely comfortable and attractive. There is a very pretty garden and a nice sitting room. We slept wonderfully--it was very quiet. The Herren House is close to the center of town. We'd certainly stay again. more
