We chose the Buxton, NC location because we wanted to be away from the crowds at Nags Head. If you desire to escape the commercial areas, then this is the place to stay. The B&B is an older establishment, but it is very well maintained. We made reservations late, so the only room (an efficiency) available was on the 1st... more

This was a great place to stay in the Cape Hatteras area. Since we have a toddler and had to schlep our stuff to the beach I was a little nervous about just how close it was, but it was really close - just a couple of hundred feet. Some beach toys are available to borrow, and there are outdoor... more

My husband & I decided at the last minute to go to the Outer Banks for the weekend. We could not get into the Inn on the Pamlico Sound (the other B&B in Buxton), so we settled on Cape Hatteras B&B. It was not a bad runner up! The staff is incredibly friendly. Cindy's breakfast was wonderful - we had... more

Our stay at the CH B&B was so wonderful! Cathy, the innkeeper, was welcoming and accomodating. There were bikes, coolers, beach chairs, etc. for guests to use free of charge. The breakfasts were DELICIOUS and different each day, and there were many special food requirements among the guests staying there -- one didn't eat eggs, I am a vegetarian, etc.... more

Pleasant B & B in the beautiful Outer Banks, pleasant but smallish room but very clean and nice en-suite. A couple of mins from the beach and a few mins drive from the lighthouse, both of which should not be missed. Excellent breakfast in lovely surrounding, much nicer than the largeish motels nearby. more

Although this IS a bed and breakfast, it really has all the amenities you'd want in any vacation rental or motel. Cathy, the Innkeeper, is a superb concierge as she has lived on the island for many years, and she made great recommendations for AWESOME lunch and dinner meals. However, we were so full after the AMAZING breakfasts she prepared... more

We just stayed for the first time at the Hatteras Bed & Breakfast. What a treat! Kathy, the innkeeper, is a warm, friendly lady who is always ready to make your stay memorable. Kathy's breakfasts are very good and the location of the inn is very convenient. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. We highly recommend staying at this... more

We just returned from a wonderful weekend in Ocrakoke, NC, but that was not our original destination. I made reservations for my boyfriends birthday celebration (just the two of us for a nice quiet weekend) at Cape Hatteras Bed and Breakfast. I called the week before our trip to confirm, birthday cake baked, and ready for a great time. Upon... more

This was my wife and I's first stay at a B&B and it was wonderful. Kathy runs an excellent establishment and you are treated like family. Breakfast features fresh made pastries and the coffee is to die for. Fresh Breakfast is from her varied repertoire and all the jellies and jams are fresh (Get the Fig Jam made from the... more
