My wife and I have just spent the last weekend in the Moriah Plaza hotel in the Dead Sea. All I can say about the other reviews is that they are mistaken. The hotel was clean, well kept and fully air-conditioned. The very spacious rooms were spotlessly clean as were the bathrooms. The hotel staff were helpful and very friendly.... more

I did not choose this hotel as I was with a group of friends and when I read the reviews on tripadvisor, I was really worried about our weekend. I went with the knowledge that the hotel was dated and that it needed work. Having said that, the location, access to the sea, pool, and dining room more than made... more

I have recently returned from a visit to Israel and stayed in several hotels over a period of two weeks. We stayed at several Sheraton Hotels and I had an expectation that was met at some and sorely missing at others !! The Sheraton Moriah the the Dead Sea was one such case. It has a perfect location with it's... more

I arrived at the Sheraton Moriah Dead Sea with my family. My first impression was, the Dead Sea is magnificent, the outside of the hotel a bit outdated but I'm sure the Sheraton on the inside is very clean, boy was I wrong. I proceeded to my room. I came with family and was happy after the drive from Jerusalem... more

I was married in Israel and brought my whole family down to the Sheraton Moriah for 1 night and took 3 rooms. We immediately noticed a particular "smell" in the first room like rotten eggs which was coming from the plumbing in the bathroom. We called and had maintainence come up twice with no improvement. We were told there were... more

We stayed there for just one night, and it wasn't that bad after all. Room was very good, as well as buffet food. But I wouldn't go back. Hotel looks old and requires serious renovation. 80% of the guests were at least 30 years older than me, which would be rather depressing if I stayed there for a long vacation.... more

Our first impression was broken glass in the parking lot, something that the staff did not seem to care about and was not cleaned up in our 2 night stay there. The hotel is in dire need of renovation. Old mattresses were lined up in the hall across from our room. The room was shabby at best. The carpet was... more

This is a dreadful, depressing hotel masquarading under the Sheraton name. My suspicions should have been raised when I accessed the Sheraton website for driving directions, there were none! Even when I was within a few hundred yards on this lonely, deserted, unlit stretch of road, there was still not a sign. Having read the reviews I was not expecting... more

Booked a three night deal for this hotel, but left after only one night (and I would have left earlier if it were possible). It was hard to believe that Sheraton would put their name on this hotel. The overall condition was one of year-long neglect. The rooms were in terrible condition... The spring box of the bed was uncovered... more

Oh Dear ! I stay in Sheratons worldwide because they are all of a very high standard, incl the Sheraton in Jerusalem, but The Sheraton Moriah should drop its Sheraton prefix. It simply is nowhere near these high standards.Consider it as The Moriah Hotel. The Sheraton style is totally absent. In particular the hotel reception staff, with the exception of... more
