The Meridien Dead Sea is not nearly as bad as most say. Granted, it gets super crowded on Shabbat, but the hotel is nice, and the amenities are good. We passed on the buffet and had decent food in the quiet lounge area. The pool is fantastic and the beach is just a quick shuttle away. Our room was huge... more

This hotel is not nearly as bad as everyone says it is. Granted the staff at the hotel desk is rude, slow, poorly trained and drives everyone nuts, but once you're past checking in, this hotel is a great family destination. The pool is huge with a waterslide, there's constant entertainment for kids in the water and out, Dead Sea... more

Considering this hotel is meant to be a five star I think it might need to be reviewed again! The hotel looked like it was built in the 70's and hadnt seen a lick of paint or any sign of a refurb ever since. On arrival we asked the concierge if there were any nice restaurtants to go to eat,... more

My husband and I went with a tour group to Israel, so we did not choose this hotel. We had checked the Trip Advisor reviews prior to staying here and were not impressed and apprehensive about this hotel. The reviews were harsh but much of what other travelers have said is true, unfortunately. The location is beautiful! The Dead Sea... more

I wanted to give my son and his girlfriend (and indeed myself) a real treat "last week" (May 2008) - and so booked a large suite for all of us at Le Meridien in Ein Bokek for one night - would have stayed extra time if it had been as fantastic as it first looked. The room could not initially... more

I had a lovely, spacious room with balcony overlooking the dead sea. It was a short walk to the beach (or you could take the shuttle). The hotel was smartly decorated and the lobby smelled like gardenias. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The food in the dining room was absolutely delicious. I was pleasantly surprised especially after reading... more

Several people have written negative reviews here, which I saw after making my reservation, so I was prepped for a bad experience. However, short of a few minor hiccups, ours was a very pleasant stay. We were wishing we could have stayed an extra day to enjoy the Dead Sea a bit longer. Unfortunately, the major hiccup occurred upon arrival,... more

the property is a shambles, not even a 2 star hotel. I have been coresponding with Starwoods to get my money back. I recommend that no one visits this property it will destroy your holiday. Dirty, old, very bad service and sub standard. more

1. The hotel is old and needs renovation. 2. The service is bad. It's not even a good 3* hotel. No robes (you have to pick them up from the SPA), no slippers (I requested to brig me 2 pairs, received only one), the minibar is empty (you have to request to fill it up, and then they try to... more
