If you like mud all day, go to the swimming pool at the Danile, they don't clean the pool area. The food is not that good either. Will not be going again No way five star Very boring in the evenings, if you like going to bed early and the dirt go there more

I stayed in the hotel for the weekend with my wife. When we checked-in the computer system at the reception desk had a failure that shut the system down and we had to wait about half an hour to complete the check-in process. We received a room that should be renovated so this didn't inspire enjoyable staying. The hotel facility... more

In our neverending search for the best hotel at the Dead Sea my wife and I decided to spend a few days at the Daniel Dead Sea. We had spent a few days here over Passover in 2005 and wanted to see what the new owners had really done to change it all. What a difference! We walked in and... more

So called 'changing' facilities at the spa are non-existent. Changing room consists of a bathroom with two stalls, and a small room with two open showers. The solitary bench in the shower room held what was at least a 4 foot high pile of wet dirty towels. Buffet lunch is bad college cafeteria food at best. more

The hotel definitely needs a descent manager. There were no parking spots nearby so I parked the car in the next hotel's parking place. The building itself is not so old, but it's so terribly maintained and managed, that it looks rubbish. The crew is very unfriendly and unprofessional, we've asked the reception desk clerk a question and were answered... more

This has to be the worst hotel in Israel by far. It advertises itself as a five star property, yet there is no sign of luxury. The rooms (we were given two by the hotel) are dirty and old (torn curtains, rusted bathroom fixtures, ripped carpets) after complaining to managenment, we were given a room far worse than the first.... more

This could be a really nice hotel, but it is in considerable dis-repair and the pool is boring for the kids. Paint the place, fix the broken hand rail on the salt pool, add a few toys to the pool area and it would be much better. more

We were invited to the hotel to celebrate a birthday of a family member. After reading previous reviews, I was quite hesitant to go to the hotel. I'm happy to say that things seem to have improved greatly! The hotel looks renovated and is very clean and well kept. We were a group that had five rooms. Our family had... more

Drabby rooms, torn bed linens and curtains, dirty shower curtain, AWFUL food, (we ate at Burger King a few times to keep going) indifferent attitude from the staff, as we were told that from the 1st of January the hotel was changing hands from Fattal group to the Daniel more

Golden Tulip (now The Daniel) was hugely disappointing. The hotel fabric is tired and worn out in all areas. Our room was not cleaned for two days running and no fresh towels either - despite asking a nearby chambermaid. The food was dreadful & we are not fussy people but we found the evening meals almost inedible as did other... more
