Have just returned from a week at Sunset Beach Hotel. The welcome was lovely - with a garland of Frangipani flowers and a fruit juice cocktail. The staff were very friendly, helpful and extremely courteous at all times. I had an ocean view room which was spacious, clean and airy. I am a 60+ lady travelling alone and was perfectly... more

First I should declare an interest; this is our eighth stay at the Sunset Beach in twelve years. In our search for sun and sea our trips have included the Caribbean, Mauritius and Cape Verde but we keep returning to the Seychelles. The scenery is wonderful and the people are so genuinely friendly. The downside is the ten hour flight... more

We stayed at this resort for a week following a perfect week at Labriz on Silhouette Island. I admit that going from the luxury of Labriz to any hotel was going to be tough to follow but we were very disappointed on arrival at Sunset Beach. We had no major problems but to say it is first class is not... more

Arrived at Sunset Beach Hotel and immediately welcomed with a Smile, a Garland of Orchids and a refreshing Cocktail - what a wonderful start to a special holiday !! Our room looked out onto the turquoise Ocean - Junior Suite highly recommended. Make sure you keep the Air Con on all of the time as the mozzies are a bit... more

Room very small . Bathroom dirty lots of cockroaches. Service bad most of the staff could not be bothered. Food not good they did not know how to cook. They over charged on the bill. The only good thing is the location nice beach. Would not return to this hotel again. Pat Essex more

Arrived at Sunset Beach after a 10hr flight from England. Sat in the reception for 1hr because the room was not ready, if we had not asked what was happening or asked for a drink we would not have received either an explanation or a drink. The first thing we did was have a shower which flooded the bathroom due... more

Stayed at Sunset beach end of May '07 for 2 weeks, Really loved it there.....We had to move from Coral Strand after the 2nd night as it was so poor, and our Rep suggested Sunset Beach. Although it is quite expensive the difference in the two hotels was imeasurable. We found the staff to be very attentive and friendly, particularly... more

If you're looking for a relaxing beach holiday in a lovely hotel then do NOT go to the Sunset Beach! The only positive thing I can think to say is that the hotel is in a beautiful location and the rooms are fine. However, the service is appalling. Staff are rude, unhelful and just plain useless. For example, it is... more

My girlfriend and I have just returned from Seychelles and although we didn't stay at this hotel, we did come here 3 times during our visit. The beach is lovely and excellent for snorkelling. It's a small beach, but very beautiful and it's never overcrowded, unlike Beau Vallon just down the road which although is very big, does suffer from... more

We spent the last nights at Sunset for our honeymoon. We adored it. We got room number 27 which had a spectacular view of the bay from the balcony. We spent a lot of time here enjoying the views. Our room was gorgeous beyond belief. From the colorful flowers on the bed to marble floors, the sunken living area, to... more
