We were warmly welcomed with huge smiles from all the staff. Room: We had room 10, which was large, very clean and had a big balcony with views out over the beautiful blue sea. Each balcony or patio has nice furniture including a lovely Moroccan style lamp with a candle. The well equipped kitchen came in handy for making meals,... more

Having spent several weeks reviewing hotels/resorts around Mauritius, we chose Le Sakoa. We certainly weren't disappointed. The complex is made up of 14 appartments. We were in room 7 (ground floor) with spacious bedroom, reasonable sized bathroom and smaller kitchen (though we didn't use this for cooking). We stayed here for 11 days. The appartments are in their own immaculately... more

We stayed a week at Le Sakoa selfcatering in room 16, which is a private cottage right at the beach with a large double bed downstairs and two single beds on the mezzanine. The room was very nice and large and very clean. The separate kitchen was very well equipped and the maid took care of washing our dishes. The... more

Probably not going to put you off booking this hotel, it looks fantastic but thought i would let you know of my experience with this hotel. Visited Le Sakoa for three nights in mid-december and really loved it. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly, helpful and informative girl at the front desk and from then on it was hard to flaw the hotel. It didn't matter that our room did not have a beach view as the grounds are impeccably maintained and every part... more

Friendly and helpful staff. some super cheap restuarants within walking distance. shopping in grand baie just... more

Just to provide a different view to the others, our experience was somewhat less than perfect. Firstly the location - right on the beach, but as it is a public beach it was far from peaceful, and the village of Trou aux Douce itself is completely lacking any charm. The rooms are big, but have all the character of a... more

We travelled around Mauritus and this was the nicest place we stayed on the best bit of beach. Rooms are pretty big though fairly basic but lovely and clean. Some rooms had amazing sea views. Staff were really helpful and there was a nice bar where you could watch sunset from and an excellent restaurant. Hotel was on a great... more

Stayed at this small hotel at the end of September 06 for 10 days. Had a wonderful time and can highly recommend it. It was small (only 16 rooms), friendly, quiet and romantic. We had a sea view room (Room 13) which was great. Waking up and seeing the fine white sand and turquoise blue sea from your bed or... more

I first saw Le Sakoa at Trou aux Biches on a review on Tripadvisor, and as soon as I saw it I thought I must stay there, it looks like Paradise. I wasn't wrong. It was Paradise. I had Room No. 13 (I'm not superstitious) which overlooked the sea, and I sat on the veranda at night watching the most... more
