I recently was a guest at the Tarrytown House Estate & Conference Center and the only word I can use to describe the property and the experience is...WOW. From the moment I stepped into their newly renovated lobby I felt right at home. The service was top notch beginning with my check-in experience, overall the staff truly made me feel... more

Came up with GF from NYC for quick romantic get-away. A friend I work with was there for a meeting in June. Raved about place. We called and got a great Bed & Breakfast deal. Rate was $189 and they upgraded us at check in. Grounds were real nice, old. Layout like most write was crazy! Very difficult at first.... more

My boyfriend surprised me with a weekend away at Tarrytown House Estate this past weekend. Due to traffic, I beat him there, however, he had called ahead to assure I would be able to check in without him (they made no mention of me giving a credit card or needing to sign anything, only ID was needed). I explained to... more

Immaculate, spacious room on beautifully landscaped grounds in quiet setting. Friendly staff. Upon arriving home, I received a follow-up survey from the hotel via e-mail. The only fault I could come up with concerning our Sunday night stay was an overly loud ac unit that kicked in at 3 a.m. The hotel manager sent me back a personal e-mail saying... more

I was looking for a quiet elegant weekend get away for my husband and I that was close to CT (due to gas prices). This was perfect. Because it is a conference center the prices are cheaper on weekends and the place is quiet with no overcrowding. The indoor pool and jacuzzi were great and the sports center had both... more

Tarrytown is on the Hudson River just north of the Tappan Zee Bridge. It's proud of its early Dutch New York history, and it includes Sleepy Hollow known for Washington Irving's Headless Horseman. It's a very attractive and upscale part of Westchester County. Tarrytown House is a very large (26-acre) estate on a hillside overlooking the Hudson River. (The woods... more

Place is OK but they really need to update the directions on their website. Wasted over 1/2 hour (in both directions!) because the online directions were not good or clear. Hotel website tells you boldly NOT to follow GPS or Mapquest, so they really need to get their act together and update this section. Grounds are beautiful, parking is good.... more

My company just concluded a conference at this great old estate. As a history buff I was in heaven. Very elegant yet informal a perfect environment for all of us to catch up, share stories, etc. Dining rooms were in a Grey Castle like Mansion which belonged to Doris Duke. Service was like a 4 Seasons but business oriented. Lots... more

We booked this hotel for a weekend getaway with our two young children after reading positive reviews on this site. We got a great rate on Expedia - about $70 less than the published rate on the hotel website. We followed the hotels website directions since they warned not to use Mapquest or GPS. It is not in Irvington, as... more

I was here for a meeting in early January and loved this great and at times spooky place. Layout like many said is way confusing but after a day it gets easier to navigate around. Mapquest was totally wrong and we wasted abou a half hour trying to get across this tiny town on Friday. Staff at check-in was very... more
