My boyfriend and I stopped here for two days in late May. First, let me start by saying that I WOULD stay here again. I'd just bring some Lysol and Clorox wipes. The bathroom smelled like wet towels and the shower curtain had mold on it. Towels were also really thin. So the shower could def been cleaner. I'm kind... more

Location: Not far from NYC, the hotel is right near 2 subway stations, Queensboro Plaza and the nearer 37th Avenue stop, subway is 2 dollars for any ride, so was a cheap and easy journey into the city. The surrounding area of the hotel was rough and generally unpleasant, however the hotel certainly made up for this. About 5 minutes... more

Previous reviewers seemed to have covered all the bases, and I can confirm: - hotel is a very short train ride into the city (under 15 minutes) and the train station is very, very close to the hotel - breakfast is not so great, "orange" flavored beverage, coffee, dry cereal, & donuts - "business center" is really just a PC... more

We stayed in this hotel as it was a cheaper alternative to the ones in manhatten. Very average, nothing around the hotel to do but the subway is literally few minutes walk which was very handy. Be careful of taxi drivers taking you back in the evening, make sure they do it by the meter as you'll find they will... more

A fantastic hotel. Close to subway station 20 minutes from manhattan. Staff were very friendly, breakfast was good. Internet access available. Size of the rooms were more than adequate. I wouldnt go there for a honeymoon but for a city break certainly after all you only want to sleep there. Great shower and very clean. I had a very pleasant... more

I did not stay here, but always see it from the subway line. Previous posters mention there are no places to eat in the area, so let this Brooklynite help you out. For good local places to eat, take either the N or W train the other way, not into Manhattan. Go to either the Broadway station/2 stops or to... more

Don't take a ground floor room as it's within 100 yards of the front desk and 50 feet from a vending machine! Also, the continental breakfast did not have juice but rather this odd concoction to look like juice. The room was fine probably only because it was very new. Give this hotel a year or two and it'll be... more

This hotel is a good Manhattan alternative, right by the rail station and just a few mins from the city. Extremely clean, free breakfast and internet, very nice staff (who will watch your bags even after you check out). This hotel looks much nicer than you would expect for the low price. The rooms was on the smaller side but... more

This hotel property EXCEEDED what is on their website. The entire hotel is very clean and pristine. The rooms were clean, the lobby was warm and inviting and the hotel staff was very helpful. Wether it was holding our bags before and after check in/out, or telling us where to eat, very helpful and courteous. This hote is VERY close... more

First, let me say that in the grand scheme of hotels outside of New York City, this hotel would not rate four stars. However, given the rates of hotels in Manhattan, and the cleanliness of this hotel and relative distance from downtown, rate well with me. If I was staying, for example, in Richmond, Va., or Baltimore, Md., I would... more
