Our family stayed here for 10 nights (2 adults, 3 teens) and agree with the positive reviews. We used as a home base and used an unlimited subway pass to see the other areas of NYC. Breakfast was simple but very good - can't beat fresh NY bagels and fruit to get you started each day. The attendant in the... more

A nice medium sized hotel that's handy for Manhattan but doesn't charge Manhattan prices. The hotel is on Queens Boulevard, about halfway between the 33rd and 40th street stops on the 7 line subway. It's an easy walk, even in the heat of summer (it was over 90F when I stayed). The subway will get you to Grand Central or... more

I was looking for a hotel that was close to Manhattan without having to pay Manhattan prices and this fit the bill. The room was clean and of a decent size for a city hotel. The bathroom was also quite clean and there were no unusual odors that you can sometimes find. The air conditioning also worked well and provided... more

Nice people running this place. Rooms could have been cleaned a little better, and a bit stingy with the towels. Other wise, no complaints. I had a nice view of the city. more

Must agree with most other reviews. Short 4-5 minute walk to subway (Fares are $2.00 now). 17-18 minutes to TImes Square. Room was fine. Clean, king-sized bed. Nice, small bathroom. Not much of a view , but who cares? Basement rooms have no view. Front desk helpful and friendly. Free parking. Only maybe 15 or so spots, but we got... more

I did a lot of investigation as to the best place to stay for visiting NYC on a moderate travel budget. This hotel is located in Queens and is a VERY short walk to the subway line (#7 train). The subway ride is only about 15 to 20 minutes to the middle of Manhattan (Times Square). From there you can... more

We booked this hotel after reading reviews. This was our first trip to New York. The only negative I can think of is that you had to walk up 1 flight to get to the elevator. It was just a minor inconvenience when we were taking our luggage in and out the 1st and the last day. Postives: Very clean,... more

This hotel is an awesome place to stay if you are trying to visit New York city on a budget. It is easy to get to from Laguardia, and there is a subway stop 3 blocks from the hotel. The #7 train goes right to Times Square and Grand Central station, and only takes 20-30 minutes. It is a very... more

You can't beat this hotel for value in New York City. The 7 train station is 3 blocks away, and will take you into Manhattan in minutes, where everyone else is staying for over twice the price as you! In a nice area, we never felt unsafe walking, even at night. A variety of restaurants within a 5 minute walk,... more

we had our mind set on staying at a MANHATTAN hotel but most alternatives (cheaper ones) were fully booked so we decided on this after reading other reviews here, and I must say we were satisfied it´s quite a new hotel - so not that worn down which midprice hotels on Manhattan usually are. *Check in & out was fast... more
