I honestly have nothing negative to say about the Ravel Hotel. My fiance and I arrived an hour early and we were able to check into our room. It was very spacious and clean. We even had a balacony, not that the view was great, but it was still cool. I loved the style and colors of the hotel, very... more

We didn't know what to expect from this hotel. We were very pleased as the staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is is situated in an industrial area where there is nothing. However what do you need as you will spend your time in town. The taxi from uptown and midtown to the hotel in the evening will... more

When my family came to visit, we had a difficult time searching for a hotel near my apt in Astoria and close to Manhattan. When we found the Ravel Hotel, we were hesitant due to the reviews written on this site. However, we were pleasantly surprised to find that this hotel has not only affordable rooms, but a posh and... more

I stayed at the Ravel three weeks ago looking for a cheaper alternative to Manhattan. While the hotel was definitely cheaper I would've rather in hindsight payed the extra and stayed in Manhattan. The area is very sketch and not good to walk around in (there isnt anything around the hotel anyways except industrial space) and my room was dirty.... more

I was very excited when I booked my room at the Ravel Hotel. My partner and I were looking for a place to stay in or near Manhattan but were struggling to find something with a good balance between cost and quality. We stumbled across Ravel on a travel website. It had received fairly good reviews to that point, was... more

This is a good hotel, but for those wanting a true NYC experience, I wouldn't recommend it. Ravel is brand new and is still working out some of the kinks. The bar/lounge is not yet open (they have to be open 3 months before getting their liquor license) and our mini-fridge was not stocked...with anything. Pros: -Clean, spacious, comfortable rooms... more

I initially wanted to book a hotel in manhattan, but quickly realized that the price was a little high considering the cubicle sized rooms that many hotels offer you. Ravel was a great solution to my dilemma. I booked a king superior which had a balcony, city-view of nyc and queens bridge, flat screen tv, huge comfy bed, mini fridge,... more
