This is probably the best place to stay in the middle of Lake Placid if you are looking for value and great location, as well as a very friendly staff. I recently had the opportunity to visit Lake Placid and stay at this wonderful motel. The accomodations were great, the view outstanding, and all was done in a very personnal and homey way. Location is right in the middle of town, you can walk to almost everything there is to see and do. Great location, motel, and people. more

Upon booking this hotel, we spoke directly with the owner (Carol...sp?) who stated she arranged our room to be near another group in our party. Very nice room. Clean as could be. Loved the balcony despite the spiders. Need exhasut vent in bathroom...the steam, heat and odor made for a difficult start to the day. Bring earplugs on the weekend...noise from bars and partygoers on mainstreet kept me up till 2AM. Just started to fall asleep when the loud street sweeper kicked in around 3AM.... more
