We didn't stay at the Roycroft because of what we read on this very website. So yes, the reviews online matter. We did have lunch here, and thought the service in the dining area (we dined on the outside porch) was very friendly, although we aren't big fans of the habit of seating customers in a small area within a... more

The Roycroft is very historically significant and quintessentially East Aurora. It's one of only two hotels in town (there's a new Hampton Inn), but at about the same price, the Roycroft is a no-brainer! For anyone who appreciates the Arts & Crafts style, it's a real paradise -- beautifully restored and decorated. The lobby is gorgeous. The rooms are furnished... more

Beautiful old arts & crafts building. Our four room suite was very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was very large and it had a jacuzzi tub. Our room was located on the third floor. We had a view of the parking lot but if you looked was it, you would see pretty old houses in the distance. The Dinning room... more

We stayed at the Roycroft the night of our wedding a few years ago and were very disappointed in our experience. There was no air conditioning and the room was stifling. As a result we had to keep our windows wide open and were then kept awake most of the night by excessive noise from the parking lot and street-... more

There are few places in North America that can match the Roycroft as a place to rest .You really must come and stay for a few days in one of the historical centres of the American Arts & Crafts movement.East Aurora is a small town gem and the village is filled with Roycroft artisans.Except for the modern amenities the Inn... more

The Roycroft is a classic early 20th century inn. The historical mission atmosphere is wonderful - and if you take a little bit of time to learn about Elbert Hubbard, the history of the Inn and the community that built it, your appreciation will increase immensely. One of the wonders of the inn is the fact that it exists at... more

What a disappointment for an arts & crafts lover. While my three-room suite had character, it was extremely dark (and rather dirty) inside. Dark panelling on the walls and the ceiling, dark green wallpaper, dark wood blinds and poor interior lighting all combined to give the place a very depressing atmosphere. I asked the desk clerk if there were any... more

We stayed at the resort Feb 24, 25, the first day that we arrived I called down to the front desk and said our room was freezing and I would need another blanket. We were visting my son who is in a boarding school and was celebrating his 15the birthday, so it was a special time for us. 2nd day... more

We just came back from a week at Roycroft Inn. We were so looking forward to go there. It looked so pretty and cozy place in the website. However, when we arrived at the reception of the Inn,We faced some impression. The receptionist did not say even "welcome" to us. In stead of this, she said to us, " give... more

The Roycroft has been lovingly restored. I had a comparatively inexpensive room, but it was a good size, with a large sitting area and bathroom. The hotel's public areas are gorgeous and the town is really charming. I do wish there had been a little less authenticity when it came to the lighting. I'm all for atmosphere, but I do... more
