The location of this hotel is fantastic. The views of Manhattan are spectacular. It almost feels like you can touch the buildings on the other side of the Hudson. The PATH train, which is a one stop ride into Manhattan, is literally steps from the front door of the hotel. The ferry which gets you into lower Manhattan in five... more

Fabulous hotel with a staff that bends over backwards to accommodate your every need. We needed more towels, they were at the door in minutes! Our phone wasn't working right, they had a new one in our room in minutes as well. The hotel is RIGHT next to the Path which takes you under the Hudson River to The Site... more

I stayed at the Hyatt in Jersey City for 2 nights with my 16 year old son. The convenience to Manhattan, particularly lower Manhattan, is fantastic. The PATH train is located steps from the hotel. The doormen/bellmen were very nice and extremely courteous. Check-in was quick and easy. Parking was ridiculously expensive at $32 per day. I live in NJ... more

The location is great. Took a car from Laguardia that dropped me right at the hotel. There is a water taxi stop just a few short yards from the hotel which made it easy to get into Manhattan. There was a great restaurant in the hotel that had a great breakfast set up. However do watch some of the folks... more

I generally don't write reviews unless the experience was exceptionally good or absymally poor. The Hyatt Regency falls into the former category and provided such a delightful stay that I felt compelled to add my beaming accolades to the host of other travelers who were lucky enough to come across this hotel. This is truly top-rate, yet unpretentious, comfortable and... more

OK, after just spending a wonderful 3 nights in a great hotel in Cape May, brought the family up to the Hyatt Regency Jersey City due to location close to the Ferry to Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty Ferry, as well the PATH Train into NYC. The location was about the only good part. No real complaints with the... more

We chose this hotel for a family (2 adults and 3 teenage boys) vacation to NYC in July for four days. Access is easy via car or from the Newark airport via train (less than $10 vs. $$$ via taxi, but you do have to take the airport tram to the train stop, then a regular train to Newark station,... more

My husband and I stayed at this hotel over the July 4th holiday. The primary purpose of our trip was to attend the Yankees-Red Sox game on July 3rd. The hotel rooms were average, though the bed was quite comfortable. The staff was delightful -- particularly our repeat breakfast waitress, Vera, and the bartender, Fernando. Everyone at the hotel was... more

My husband, ten year old daughter and I spent this past weekend at the Hyatt. We had previously spent a weekend here last January and found the accomodation to be much more suitable for travelling with a child than most of the other places we had stayed when visiting NYC. Our room was on the eight floor and we had... more

The Hyatt is right across from Exchange Place PATH Station (4 min from World Trade Center). Trains generally run every 10-15 min during the day and 30 min off peak. The hotel is pretty new and the rooms are large. Sound-proofing between the rooms isn't too good though. Otherwise, it's very quiet since there aren't any roads nearby. The office... more
