In a nutshell this hotel is clean and basic but the internet connection was terrible, even though they offered 'high speed internet'. I did a speed test and got speeds to 200 kbps down and less than that up. I couldn't even conduct a skype call on my computer with that. There is also some issues with the cooling of... more
The location is the best part of the motel, close to everything. As other reviewers have mentioned, it's literally right next door to a high end shopping mall with a lot of restaurant options. The room was fine, and the check-in staff friendly. I would stay here again if I ever make my way back to Hackensack. more
Stayed here on and off for three weeks in Aug-Sept. First week, the room was by the middle stairwell, so it was small, but okay. Not many TV channels, about 15, but the internet worked well. No plugs by the bed, so the alarm clock has to be on the other side of the room. Second week, room by the... more
When I first reserved this hotel I thought I was not going to get much for the price three nights for ($99) each . I first got there really early for check-in (8:45am) the front desk told me no problem just waited 15-20 minutes for room as they cleaned it, I liked that I was able to check in that... more
We checked this place out and to say the very least it's right next to the mall and walking distance to some great restaurants: the Cheesecake Factory, Morton's Steakhouse, TGI Fridays, Applebees, McCormick Schmicks, Greenfields (Brazillian Steakhouse), a few Chinese restuarants, A Thai and not to mention, there's a Hibachi Japanese Restaurant called Ichiban on the property. The shopping next... more
We had reserved a non-smoking room, but it smelled terribly of smoke when we arrived. Room and hallway carpets were threadbare and not clean. We couldn't get the window open to air out the room and had to call the desk, but a man came within 5 minutes and opened it for us, which was very appreciated. We attended a... more
We arrived on time and were promptly assigned a lovely room which was immaculate. Since I'm a shop-aholic the view of Bloomingdales from my window didn't hurt. There was some construction but really no noise or interference with my stay. There were about eight chain restaurants immediately next to the hotel which we probably ate at most of them including... more
Most definitely not worth $129/night. My partner and I arrived midday after some tiring travel, and promptly took a nap. The room was uncomfortably warm and the AC was not only insufficient (if the curtains were closed, the air blew up under them, so for the AC to actually cool the room the curtains had to be drawn open), but... more
We found this hotel to be comfortable and clean. The receptionist was nice and very helpful with directions on how to get to the city. The continental breakfast was very nice with muffins, bagels, variety of dry cereals, milk, juice, and coffee. The lobby is nice with a television, complimentary USA Today paper and a computer with internet access. Bloomingdales,... more
