Location: About 7 miles from NYC, we were able to get a bus from outside the hotel near a gas station for about 3 dollars each, took about 20 minutes or so and took us to New York Port Of Authority Bus Terminal, which is right near Times Square. The surrounding area of the hotel was very rough, broken glass... more

We had to attend a funeral and we decided to stay at this econo lodge and it was only for 2 nights, the day we left I had over 30 bites on me and my husband had about 15, then to top it off it's been 4 weeks and we are atill dealing with the bed bug bites. One of... more

We have stayed at the Econolodge three times over the last two years. I think this is the most value for the money in and around the New York City area. The place is clean with courteous staff, nice rooms with a fridge and microwave. The best part is there is a bus stop right outside the hotel that takes... more

My wife and I always wanted to visit NYC. Since we are on a budget, we can't afford the cost of an expensive room in NYC. So, we decided to stay here. Since there was a bus available, and the fact that is cost next to nothing, compared to driving and paying for parking in the city. We made a... more

When we stayed there in January of 2008, it was my third visit to the place. The staff is mainly composed of Pakistanis: they are somewhat cold but are probably nice people once you get to know them. This is absolutely the best place to stay if you're on a budget and want to visit New York. The room cost... more

We weren't expecting much to begin with and neither should you...come on look at the pics!!! Who spends their days in a hotel room on vacation anyway??? It is in the middle of no where, but who cares. It doesn't have the best looking furniture, but so what, not planning on living there. It's not the cleanest place, but it's... more

This hotel is not good. It is in the middle of nowhere. There is no shopping or restaurants that close. You need a car to get to these. The hotel is old looking and the bathrooms are small. The beds are very comfortable though so that is a plus. I would not recommend this place to anyone who wants to... more

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The hotel is old and a bit tatty, but considering how little time we spent in the room it suited us fine. The advantages were: 1. Proximity to Giants stadium - its just next door. We attended the Live Earth Concert on 07.07.07 - and though we drove to the stadium, most... more

When you think of New York you always think of ruining your budget in terms of expenses for accommodation. I decided to stay out of Manhattan and picked this econo lodge. Go to NY was always a breeze with the 161 bus that you get steps from the hotel, costs only $3.10 and goes directly to Port Authority bus terminal... more

Motel air conditioning was not working. Manager set us up in 2 different rooms, and neither had working air conditioning. Rooms do not have alarm clocks, despite information that says they do. Eventually got a refund, and went to another hotel. more
