I was very lucky to discover this place. It is a delightful New England Inn wonderfully furnished with antiques in all the rooms, and the owners are incredibly hospitable and friendly. The Birchwood is owned by two Englishmen (life partners), one of whom has been detained in England due to an immigration issue. The inn reflects the owners' provenance, effectively simulating a small home somewhere within the English countryside, complete with a miniature "pub", dartboard, and many Anglo knick-knacks.
