My best friend and I stayed here and we loved it! We were able to check in right at noon. We stayed in Room 25. The room was clean and comfortable. The stairs are steep and narrow, yet add a lot of charm to the place. The only downfall was that we hardly slept a wink due to the spooky... more

Was celebrating my 40th B-Day and had a little to much enjoyment and needed a place to stay. My wife and I decided this about mid-night and had no problem getting a hold of Doreen (sp) and she promptly drove from her house (about 5 minutes away) and got us a room. No Ghosts to speak of but my wife... more

I love Virginia City and this was only my second visit. Went with a friend we decided to stay. A local recommended the Silver Queen. Paid $80 for street-view room with a shower. Primitive, yes, cool....absolutely. When we first went in, I took some photos of my friend on the stairs. Caught three small orbs and one large one. Very... more

We stayed at the Silver Queen last Friday night. They were booked for Saturday night, so we had to stay elsewhere. Let me say this: If you are "uptight" and absolutely cannot survive without the modern amenities which we are all accustomed to, then this is not the place for you. This hotel is 132 years old. We stayed in... more

I never stayed at the Hotel, but was just there this past weekend, and was insulted by the lady behind the bar. The owner of the place was nice and very respectfull to his customers. My dad took me there when i was a kid which was about 22 years ago. I really enjoyed looking around in the hotel. it... more

There are only a few places to stay in VC. My husband and I decided to give the Silver Queen a try considering it's fantastic proximity to the saloons in town. Unfortunately, the building is so old that ANY conversations on the street can be heard in your room, plain as day. (We had room 19 on the top floor... more

My husband and I rented 2 rooms (7 and 8) we took one and my son took the other. I had a wonderful feeling while I was there and even saw something the first night. I woke up about 2am to a scratching/thumping noise. When I looked up I saw a shimmering fog of sorts. I watched it as it... more

Booked a room in January for July 20 & 21. They immediately charged my credit card.Due to an accident in early July we were forced to cancel. They refuse to reimburse me the $143 they took. Never had any accommodation charge when I book, but use the card to cover A no-show. more

We were sightseeing in Virginia City and thought it might be fun to stay in this super old historic hotel. Well let’s just say it was not quite as I expected. We went into the bar (where you pay for a room) to ask about the rooms. The place was just weird. There was a little wedding chapel off to... more

I have read the other reviews and would like to say that my family and I had a great time at The Silver Queen. We stayed only one night there for my mother in-law's wedding .The whole darn family was there also, lots of friends of the family. I would imagine most or majority of the hotel was booked by us... more
