What a great time we had at the River Palms Hotel and Casino in Laughlin. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The hotel, was clean, no smells and the rooms were big. Went to River Palms in late Feb 2008, and again in late April. Stayed for 2 nights at River Palms. It used to be Sam"s Town some yeqrs back, and yes it is one of the first 4 - or 5 hotel and casino buildings in Laughlin. Our room was clean enough, 2 beds, chairs and table plus one chair with an ottoman, T.V. with NO remote. The room was dirty. The curtains and carpet had holes all over them. Asked for light bulbs for lamps 2 times. Never got them. The drain in shower was slow. was taking a shower in dirty water. Checked in and found 2 of my lamps did not work. After a while maintenance got one of them to work, said can't fix the other. Romote to TV was missing. Finally got a new one, after waiting and hour. Beds are rock hard and worn, got a view of a wall and dumpsters, in the tower. Buffet was expensive... more
