We generally book at Marriott or Hilton properties because we are quite fussy about our lodging. This time we took a chance and booked at The Desert Rose. It turned out to be an excellent choice. Our room was a full suite with a separate bedroom and a full kitchen. The kitchen had a full sized fridge, a full electric... more

Overall, the resort was great! Rooms were very clean and quiet. The breakfast and cocktail hour was a great addition. We will stay here again. more

Our stay here was mostly positive and we would consider staying here again. The suite we had seemed to be partly renovated - new counters but dated looking carpet. So if having the most recent styling is important to you, this might not be the place. But we are more concerned with space and quiet so were happy with the... more

Stayed with five friends this weekend at the Desert Rose Resort, just off the strip in Las Vegas. It was my third time to Vegas, but the first time for my friends; though we all liked the Desert Rose, we all felt that we would have preferred to stay in a hotel with a casino, since all the services in... more

I concur with a lot of what the previous reviewer described. However I had a number of other annoyances that frustrated me. Firstly an overview on the room: • I stayed in room 4112. Possibly the most comfortable room I have ever stayed in. I was overwhelmed by the size – almost too big for me to stay in by... more

GENERAL- 3 Stars - Upon arrival I was a little nervous as the exterior and lobby were dated circa 70's. The continential breakfast was disappointing but you can't really complain. After check-in, I moved the car closer to where I was staying in the 3 level apartment like complex. Security is good with locking gates. SERVICE - 5 Stars -... more

The Desert Rose provided a relaxed experience and an aesthetic one might expect in New Mexico or Southern California with easy access to the Strip. The monorail was two blocks away, three if you include the trek through the MGM Grand. The cost was 1/2 of the strip hotels and I didn't have to deal with the constant ringing of... more

I stayed at the Desert Rose Resort along with a friend for a quick weekend getaway to Vegas and booked the hotel at the last minute, it was a great find. I was very surprised upon arrival at the property of the proximity of the hotel to the strip. It is a short 5 minute walk to the MGM Grand... more

I stayed here with my girlfriend from April 26-30. I was able to check-in a couple hours early and that went smoothly. We were informed that there was no breakfast (health dept). That really didn't matter much to me, as when I'm in Vegas, I am usually sleeping these hours anyway. I was a little bummed to read the previous... more

First of all, I'll start with the positives....the check in was smooth and the girls at the desk were very friendly. Our room was very clean and the bed was probably the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. However, we arrived on Thursday evening and was not told there would be no complimentary breakfast because the Health Dept... more
