Stayed here (five nights) after discovering that the Holiday Inn was next to large electrical transformer station. The first night was in a regular room and had a great view of the Clark Fork River. The room was small though and we were woken by the loud horn of a freight train passing nearby at 5 AM (reminded me of... more

As a semi-frequent visitor and former eight year resident , I am familiar with the limited access to quality lodging in Missoula. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the extremely friendly manager(unfortunately I am terrible with name memory, sorry). As a rule, I usually bring my own bed linens during extended stays. At this location, I left my linens in... more

When we checked in the front desk told us the elevator was out of order, that if we wanted the room we would have to take the stairs. And, by the way, our room was on the 4th floor. And the elevator would probably not be repaired until sometime the next day. This is the last time I will stay... more

Walked in without a reservation during my drive through the mountains -- could have probably gotten a lower price online, but I wasn't planning ahead. Great breakfast, comfy beds (complete with your choice of firm or soft pillows..) free high speed internet & nice people at the reception desk! more

Having stayed in 4 Holiday Inn express locations in the past month, they were not up to the usual standard. Rooms were OK only - normally they are bigger, hotel newer and furnishings of a higher standard. Thats ok though. Biggest problem was the empty breakfast bar in the morning. Normally breakfast is really well organised at the Holiday Inn... more

My family and I were to stay for 5 nights, but stayed only one because of the condition of the room. The website indicated a hotel renovation, but from our perspective, it was on the lobby, not the room which has not been updated since the 80s. It was very run-down e.g., broken cabinets, small, "grody" bathoom, spotted carpet. We... more

We stayed at the Holiday Express May 11 on our way to Wyoming. Our decision was based on the Missoula tripadvisor forum. It is a five minute walk across a footbridge to the university and a twenty minute walk to downtown. Be sure to have a cup of coffee at Liquid Planet downtown......fun place. Oh yes, and have dinner at... more

We were greeted at the Front Desk by a friendly representative. He talked w/ our toddler daughter as if he were her close friend. He offered to get her some fruit from the kitchen b/c we got to the hotel late in the evening and he figured we could use some snacks. The hotel was very clean. Other hotel staff... more

We've stayed here several times and find it a wonderful place. Nearly new, clean, and in a great location if you want to cross the pedestrian bridge over the river to go to the university campus--a fun experience in itself--you should try it! Not too far (at least within walking distance) from Missoula's funky and fun downtown. All in all,... more

Passing through for a night and was merely ok. Mixed up our reservation and acted annoyed when we tried to straighten it out. Our view was of an alley and back of apartment complex. Room was clean enough. Again, just ok. Not much to choose from in Missoula. more
