It is a nice property, and the surrounding Westport Pavilion is great. Restaurants, bars, etc just outside the door. The room was very nice, but could use updating. TV is old. The room is isolated from outside noise very well, but every little noise outside in the hall is heard, from elevator doors, other guests letting the doors slam and... more

I got this hotel from Hotwire and had a good price for it. Of course as an aside, with hotwire and priceline add about $20 a night for taxes and service fees. I have not seen them breakout what is tax and what is booking fees, but still with that I was under $80. I think the Chalet is an... more

I have stayed in many hotels both on business and for pleasure. That said, I have seen great rooms and awful rooms alike. This place did not meet either extreme, but instead was a tribute to mediocrity. First the good... The ambiance of the hotel bar was quite different. I never would have imagined an Alpine Chalet setting in St.... more

I spent 3 nights at the Chalet. The room they gave me was very good. Very large with two beds and my balcony overlooked the pool (as opposed to the lake). I was on the same floor as the main lobby, so there was a little noise. I ate at the hotel restaurant for breakfast one morning, and was not... more

The outside appears somewhat rundown. The room itself was not too bad. The beds were relatively comfortable. There were not accommodating outlets by the bedside without unplugging the clock or a light. The television stations were terrible. Don't get excited about having an outside balcony as it is standing room only! The bathroom is really small. You would think a... more

Based on the past reviews, I was concerned about booking a room here. There must have been a major renovation since the Hotel room was furnished with what appeared to be all new items. My room was a double with two very comfortable beds, a new desk and swivel chair, an easy chair, an Armoire and a modern bathroom with... more

My sister and I stayed last night at the Sheraton Westport Chalet in St. Louis and I was quite disappointed, overall. The first sign that it wasn't a quality property was the carpet getting on and off the elevator which was frayed at the edge on some floors. More important was the lack of quality in the rooms. The first... more

This was the worst Sheraton I have ever stayed in. I don't even know where to start. It reminded me more of a run down Knights Inn, both in the decor and the quality. First off, the hotel is located far from everything in St Louis. It's also fairly far off of the exit, down a road that winds through... more

where to start? uncontrolled prom nite activity, small and very noisy room, interstate too close, tiny bathroom, no mirror outside of bathroom, old doors to "balcony", non functional telephone, weird air conditioning, geese honking, horrible breakfast, some staff very good, the maintenance man and one front desk person - fun area, but there are so many better places more

The infrastructure needs upgrading. Initially got checked into a room with a broken AC. Front desk personnel were detached and inattentive and unhelpful. They have two bottles of water with a note stating you will be charged $4.00 each if you drink it (not even cold). You have to go get ice anyway, get water for a buck at the... more
