My husband and I stayed at Playa Escondida in April for 10-days. It was absolutely fantastic, we loved every minute and can't wait to go back. We just booked our second trip for November. We stayed in the Guest House for the majority of our stay and the Cabana for the last two nights. The Guest House is high on... more

This is a belated review...We stayed in March in Bungalow 1. It was like sleeping in a treehouse w/ no walls. Rustic, yet somehow chic. That kind of describes the whole place. Funky charm, but not luxurious. Food was very good, not great. Pool was fine. Sunsets beautiful. Beach gorgeous..but: waves too rough to really swim when we were there.... more

We just got back from a week-long vacation, and we loved this place. We stayed in Villa 2, which was fantastic. But we got peeks inside the other villas, which were also very nice. Next time, I'd probably go for one with a King bed, but that's the only thing I'd do differently. All the rooms/cabanas are unique and very... more

We stayed in the Casa Luna Uno from May 1 to May 11 and had the time of our lives. Luna Uno is the most fabulous house. We loved the full kitchen. It was so nice not to have to leave the house to go eat. However, when we did eat in the restuarant, the food was great and prepared... more

My wife and just returned from a 4 night stay at Playa Escondida... it was fabulous! We would definitely go back. I don't know that we would stay more than 4 or 5 nights - we really thought everything about the resort (pool, beach, bar, restaurant, spa, lodging) were all fantastic. We stayed in Bungalo 1 - it's a "jungle"... more

What a great place! We stayed in the very cozy Love Nest for five nights, and it was the perfect size for us, with an incredible view was staggering. It is open to the outdoors, so we had butterflies floating through, geckos traveling across the walls and ceilings, a cat hanging out on our bed. (No reports of any boa... more

We just returned from 9 nights at Playa Escondida and wished we never had to leave. Stayed at studio rocosa, bungalow 1,sol 1 all unique and all lovely. I was worried about mosqitos but that wasn't a problem and the weather was perfecr. Nova, Sergio,Alehandro, Benson were all great I loved all the friendly dogs running around, the best was that... more

My husband and I honeymooned at Playa-Escondida. We were SO excited to be in seclusion. That was what drew us to Playa Escondida. You will be secluded (it's in the middle of nowhere, it's inevitable), but after a few days, that gets incredibly boring. Playa-Escondida shuts down around 10ish. We aren't big party animals, but we would have liked to... more

We stayed 4 nights in the Casita. We saw a lot of other rooms, or rather bunglows. It is rather funky in that the rooms are pretty open to the surroundings so there is a bit of a privacy issue. That said, the accomodations are plush and the food is outstanding. Dinners are all 4 course and offer a soup,... more

Thanks to all the great reviews on TripAdvisor, we stayed here for a week in February. We stayed six nights in the Guest House, and the last night in Beach Villa 3. The Guest House is way up on the hill, and if you're out of shape, it's a good way to get back into shape! I think we counted... more
