The most expensive hotel. The parking lot is SMALL. The coffee pot - which didn't even work - was in the bathroom. The bathroom was disgusting, tiles were either broke, chipped or stained, along with the ceiling tiles throughout the entire place. The pool had scum in it and the hot tub was barely warm. We stayed 2 nights and... more

Outside Location was excellent, considering it was freezing cold, and we didn't want a long walk to get to the historic downtown. Only one parking lot had the snow shoveled off it, and not all the walks were cleanly shoveled either. Inside Nasty mildew stained jacuzzi jets, same with the tile in the shower. Coffee-maker machine is in the bathroom,... more

not real impressed with how dirty the place was and the fact that anyone can walk in the side doors. Burn marks on the floor and the ceiling was a beautiful primer pink in spots. Breakfast had shared condiments which grossed me out and the sink had more water pressure than the shower and I was not taking a bath... more

my kids were almost abducted by a fake magician. There was blood on the matress. My child puked when she saw the horrific sight. The rooms are a fire-hazard. Only one entrance into the halls (no windows). My smoke alarm was not turned on in my rooms. The doors into the hotel were not locked. If anyone even considers this... more

We went with Granny and Uncle and cousins and such, so we had a large group with kids and required a few rooms. We also brought the family pet. The staff was nice. The breakfast was adequate. The rooms have seen better days. The indoor pool and hot tub were definitely enjoyed by the family. It's location was superb. We... more

The location could not be better if you enjoy walking to area attractions--museum complex, historic downtown (wonderful shops, allow time for browsing!), riverfront, etc. Easy to find. Parking lot is very cramped, I was so afraid of door dings or someone backing into us. Nice pool/lobby. We got a ground floor room right by the pool, which was handy for... more

This hotel is very clean and good value. But, the rooms open in to the interior of the hotel with a balcony opening over the interior itself. You can see reception and the good indoor swimming pool. We found it a noisy place, but it has a good lounge and the staff are friendly too. If you want peace and... more

We stayed for two night in August 2006 at Hotel Clemens. It is spacious, has an indoor pool and a nice public lobby area. The location is very convenient to the Mark Twain areas of interest. It is very definitely starting to show some signs of wear and tear and appears that regular preventive maintenance is not be done. The... more

Perfect location for visiting Twain attractions. Walking distance to everything in the downtown area. Hotel could use some general maintence but otherwise clean. Stayed 2 nights in a large corner room with 2 large windows with views of the river. Visitor center is right next door. Purchased the Mark Twain adventure passport that allowed us tour the Twain homes along... more
