I'm a meeting planner so I utilize all areas of the hotel (sleeping rooms, meeting space, catering, etc.). Upon arriving at the hotel I was surprised that the decor was so dated. They say in their emails that they just completed an $8 million dollar rennovation but I can't figure out where they spent the money. Shuttle service available within... more

I stayed at the Doubletree Park Place in March to attend the Public Library Association Annual Conference. I thought the hotel was a little shabby for a Hilton-owned hotel, but it was pretty nice. I was in a king room alone, with colleagues staying in other rooms in the hotel. It was a challenge getting from the hotel the the... more

Hotel was entirely fine. Location is convenient (right off the highway), staff was friendly, room was clean, beds were comfy. Bottom line, a perfectly decent place to sleep, particularly at the Priceline rate we got ($55/night, all-in). Doubletree cookies were very tasty, as they always are. more

I recently stayed at the Doubletree Hotel Park Place on Business for two nights. This is one of those hotels where the staff make all the difference in the world. While the hotel is very nice and what you expect from Doubletree, the attention to the little extras and the service from the staff really make this hotel special. The... more

Cozy room, very quiet, great bed. I loved the free cookies when we got there - nice touch. Great location - fantastic Indian restaurant behind the hotel. Very convenient if you're driving - close to the highway. My only real complaint is that we were there in December and the parking lot wasn't shoveled very well. more

First impression was not great. Small lobby and hotel was not well lit outside with name. Here because of a convention. But staff very friendly, organized, Maid could not understand English well when we requested more towels. Warm chocolate chip cookies given to each patron when entering and found we could have them nightly if we requested. Older hotel but... more

The Doubletree Park Place was amazing. Getting downtown was easy; it was just a short drive down the highway (the hotel is also located right off 394). My room was large, the bed was extra comfortable, and the bathroom was huge. My room overlooked the indoor pool area and even had a little balcony... when the pool was open, the... more

Downtown Minneapolis hotels were a little expensive (mostly over $200) during my recent visit, and a couple of cheaper ones downtown but a little off center seemed just that-- a little "on the fringe". So I stayed at this hotel, about 10 minutes from downtown on 394. No problems, a very pleasant and serviceable hotel. There was a little noise... more

I enjoyed my stay there on an overnight business trip. Most of all, I appreciated the quiet environment and the unusually comfortable bed. Plus, the room was immaculate and attractive. What more you can ask? Alright, so the location is boring and the retaurant food is just OK. For me, those were minor negatives. Particularly for business travelers, I recommend... more
