We entered our first $150 room and found the beds unmade and the bathroom used. There were stains on the outside of the old, old, mattresses. I think the bedspreads were about 30 years old. We called the manager who was trying anything to make us happy and were switched to another room that had dirty towels hanging in the... more

We booked our stay here because it was the only place in Traverse that would allow us to have 5 adults in one room. We were able to check in early, which was nice. The room was ok. The beds were extremely comfortable. The bedding was nice and clean. However the comforters were a blast from the way past -... more

After all of the terrible reviews I was afraid to stay here. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised our room was a good size king bed with queen sofa bed. The hotel is old with not much updating the location is the best great beach, pool walk to front st. downtown. I would not stay here in the... more

Great location. This hotel has an indoor and outdoor pool. The beach is nice and the staff was great. They have a sports bar, nightclub, and an outdoor patio in the perimeter. I would recommande this hotel to just about anyone. I also recommande "Amical". It is an awesome restaurant with great food located in the downtown area. Pricey but... more

Positives: -Nice Location close to downtown and beach-front right on the bay -Patio Bar... (a positive for the most part) Negatives (where do I start) -Constant noise at night, door slamming, paper thin walls -Filthy furniture, comforter out of that 70's show, cracks in the ceiling, dirty windows with no screens, air conditioning that sounds like a jet engine. -two... more

I stayed at this hotel over Memorial Day weekend and I was less than impressed. Check-in beings at 4:00pm and I arrived at the hotel at 4:30. The room was not ready and I had to wait with my dog until 6:45 to check in. I ordered room service several times and it took over 45 minutes to receive my... more

We have stayed here several times years ago with our other pets. Nice to see they are still pet friendly. They are supposed to charge $10 per night for having your pet, but they didn't charge us (not sure why and we had our dog with us at check in.) We booked the king room through their web site and... more

We have been staying here for almost ten years each August or September. We choose it because it gives us an easy walk to downtown. Not any more. Our second floor room overlooked the parking lot just above the back entrance. This entrance is also used for bar traffic. After closing time our first night we had over an hour... more

We stayed at this hotel during a road trip to the Sleeping Bear Dunes with my wife and dog. We chose this hotel because we knew that Holiday Inns were pet friendly and have a reasonable reputation. We paid $110/night plus a $10 pet fee. Our check-in was efficient, no problems. We were given a room on the third floor... more

Upon arriving at the hotel, we were treated very rudely by the receptionist, Heather. We weren't expecting to be treated like royalty at a Holiday Inn, but she was dismissive, rude, and short with us. When we went to our "room with a view," the view was of the parking lot, unless you moved to a part of the window... more
