From reading reviews it seem we were lucky we only ate there. My husband and I went out for dinner , the waitress didn't know that sides came with my meal. When I told her she LOOKED at the menu and then again said they didn't--I had to point it out to her. The salad was iceburg lettuce and 2... more

Just returned from the Memorial Day weekend for our anniversary and had a very nice stay at the Colonial House Inn. Breakfast and dinner was included that we enjoyed. The staff is very friendly and accommodating to our needs. The room was charming and clean. The main reason we chose this inn was because we were able to bring our... more

My sister-in-law and I spent a weekend at the Colonial House Inn for the murder mystery weekend and had an awesome time. The staff is wonderful and the mystery was so much fun. You actually get to participate in the mystery and play a character. The hostess of the mystery was fantastic. She made us feel very welcome and very... more

Our son gave us a night stay as a gift. We had a wonderful time, very quaint place. The staff where very friendly and helpful. The dinner was wonderful and we didn't eat till after 8pm. The room was older but very cozy. A very comfortable Inn. I would recommend staying there. We will return again. The scenery is beautiful. more

A diamond in the rough. This is a top notch Inn. Very pet friendly, our dog has diabetes and is 3/4 blind, the Inn kept her medication in the refridgerator for us, we had a separate entrance for our room from the Inn. We were free to bring her around with the exception of the dining hall. Staff was "great",... more

Terrible place. Was told we had a canopy bed - it was some fabric stapled to the ceiling to give the illusion of a canopy. The "king" bed was really two Salvation Army quality twin beds pushed together, and covered with a king mattress. The mattress was old, lumpy, and had springs digging into our back all night. It was... more

A friend, highly recommended this old, revolutionary period "Colonial House Inn" to me. "The Colonial House Inn". The very old, Colonial House Inn make you feel like you are part of the moment, back in the historic time, where the "militia" the minutemen would meet at the Inn, to keep the village, generally informed, on the news, weather, tides, and... more

In November I gave my Husband a gift certificate to a Mystery Weekend At this Charming Inn on Cape Cod. Although we did receive a Mystery Brochure in advance, neither of us knew exactly what to expect. Well it was excellent. From the time we arrived on Friday through check-out on Sunday, we had a ball. The hors d'ourves at... more

On checking in at the Colonial House we were informed that we were expected to tip the staff because, they said, the staff aren't paid enough to live on if they don't receive tips. Well, it's hardly the fault of the staff if they don't earn enough, so make sure that you add $20 a night to the room rate... more

Having read the reviews after booking we were very apprehensive. On arrival I have to admit the Colonial Inn does look quite shabby and run down however it is not as bad it first appears. The rooms were comfortable and clean, admitably the furniture has seen better days. Breakfast was definately a disappointment but dinner was ok, if a little... more
