Stayed here early September. The room was alright, with a view overlooking the lake. The balcony was 'rustic' - meaning it needed a lick of paint. We seemed to get a time when there was a group of teens staying, and we spent half the night listening to them running up and down the hallway shouting at each other. Not... more

I have stayed at this hotel with some frequency since I go to Sturbridge twice a year for the nearby Brimfield Antique show and it has steadily gone downhill. The Hotel has beautiful grounds and a nice lobby. It is however thoroughly mediocre with extremely poor service. The rooms are decent and clean but they are not maintained - our... more

My husband and I decided to take a small trip with our young kids to visit Sturbridge Village (worth the visit!). I read reviews and noticed there were some good reviews about this hotel. I also noticed that it had been recently upgraded so I thought we would try it out. The minute I walked into the lobby, I couldn't... more

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. We stayed for one night and found the experience depressing. Our room was shabby and the fittings were cheap and tacky. When we arrived there were hairs in the bathtub and peanuts on the carpet near the bed. Our balcony over the indoor pool was in semi darkness all the... more

Hotel is generally a bit shabby and run down. The pool area is rather tacky and the mini-golf has seen better days but the room and facitlities are perfectly adequate for a 3 night break and the rooms are well decorated and clean. It is a large resort and whilst it was empty in August I can imagine it getting... more

My mother gave me a gift cert. to stay here. My husband & I booked an overnight stay (Friday night). From 3:00pm until 11:15pm (this is when we checked out!) we dealt with fire alarms going off, room doors slamming shut, thin walls, kids running in the room above us, and rude, loud people in the room next to us...just... more

Beautiful property. We got a very nice, big room for $99, and that included a full made-to-order breakfast. Lots to do. more

Having read mixed reviews of this hotel I was a bit wary of what to expect but we had a great time. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times, room was well equipped if a little dark having an interior view. Great location for exploring mid- Massachussets and Sturbridge and local villages were fascinating. The lakeside beach was... more

The hotel is nicely renovated, however, the swimming pool is ICE cold. We asked them to raise the water temperature. The staff said they would, but in fact, they did nothing. The biggest problem with this hotel is the indoor pool, which only children can tollerate. On a hot summer weekend, it's nice to go for a swim. Guess they... more

We booked this hotel because we were planning a family trip to Old Sturbridge Village. The amenities for the kids looked like fun and since its summer we knew we'd use them. After I booked the hotel I searched the reviews (yes I know you're supposed to do this beforehand) and got a little scared. The reviews looked horrible and... more
