The Mariner Motel is a very affordable, comfortable, clean and quiet motel. It is in walking distance to many shops, restaurants, Falmouth Harbor, etc. If you're looking for fancy, you'll need to look in a big city, because none of the hotels or motels in Falmouth are what I would call fancy. We stayed at the Mariner Motel for 3... more

After reading most of the reviews I decided to stay at Mariner for one night with my family. To tell the truth this motel needs a serious remodeling or even an urgent "resuscitation"...Everything from the entry door to the room furnishings, bath tub knobs, refrigerator, carpet and bed mattresses should be replaced...Everything looked so old and uninviting...After spending couple of... more

This pace is right out of the 60's, down to the Cashmere Bouquet soap in the bathroom (They still make that stuff? ).But I would agree with most of the favorable reviews. Tha owners were friendly and helpful and the property is very clean, including and especially the pool. It is conveniently located to down town Falmouth and the ferry,... more

After having read great reviews I decided to book this place b/c of cleanliness and value. Pros: perfect location to ferry and town. cons: room was slightly musty, old carpeting and uninviting feel. All in all, if you are looking for a place to sleep with clean sheets (and only clean sheets because our blankets were stained horribly) and you... more

Well, the room was clean. Clean but SO out-dated and unwelcoming. The staff was nice upon check-in, but that quickly went south when we told them about something broken in the room. It kind of felt like I was sleeping in the Bates motel. Or that was the joke between my friends and I, at least. If you're looking for... more

My husband and I stayed here one late August night on our way to Martha's Vineyard. We booked the room the night before arriving after reading other TripAdvisor reviews. The place was fine - typical motel accomodations, but it was clean and quiet, and a five minute stroll from downtown Falmouth. Although the motel has Wi-Fi, it was too weak... more

My wife and I just got back from Cape Cod yesterday (10/27/07) from her high school's fiftieth class renunion. We stayed at the Mariner for seven nights (10/16/-10/22) and were more than happy with our choice of this motel. We always try to stay with the privately owned lodges when we travel and this is one of them. The couple... more

Stayed at the Mariner from Monday 24th thru to Thurs 27th Sept. Excellent location for ferries to Martha's Vineyard & Nantucket. The welcome we received was exceptional, the service was second-to-none. Room was large & airy and, although basic, had everything we needed and was very clean with unobtrusive service. Karen is fantastic, nothing too much trouble to assure guests... more

We were completely satisfied with the Mariner Motel. I often find that a lot of the negative reviews of places like this were written by people that expect the Ritz for $150. Its just not possible! However, the room was clean, comfortable, and sufficiently furnished. Again, not the Ritz, but nicer than other places I have stayed for more. The... more

We just came back to the Mariner for at least the tenth time in the last 14 years. I've been to enough motels/hotels on the Cape over the years to know that this hotel is one of the better values on the Cape. The location is perfect if you want to avoid the hassles of Cape traffic - just park... more
