We stayed at the Colonial Inn in July 2008, as part of our 20th Anniversary celebration. It was very nice for a romatic getaway. We stayed in a room on the 4th Floor at the top of the stairs in the corner. I am convinced it was room with THE nicest view in the hotel. The room had a large... more

My husband and I stayed at the Colonial Inn for 3 nights in July, from July 12th through July 15th. The pictures of the Inn online were beautiful, and we eagerly awaited our arrival. We took the Inn's advice and took a taxi from Oak Bluffs to the Inn. This was about $30 for two people and there was no... more

We just returned from 2 nights at the Colonial Inn. We stayed there about 10 years ago. We paid approx $425 per night , plus tax, for a room overlooking the harbor. There are buildings in between. The location is what you pay for. The room is small. The bed in our room was so high up that the inn... more

The Colonial Inn is located in the heart of Edgartown. It is central to the shops and restaurants, the Chappy ferry, and harbor. There is a fabulous coffee shop" Expresso Love" less than a block away. The highlight is the location. We arrived on a Friday afternoon for the weekend. Check in is at 3pm but we were welcomed to... more

I stayed here for a long weekend in Mid November. It was the last weekend before the Inn closed for the winter. There weren't many guests so it was very quiet, but I can't imagine staying here during peak season - the walls are paper thin and the rooms are very small, but clean. We were on the 3rd floor... more

Martha's Vineyard always seemed like a posh, luxury vacation spot for celebrities so when I started looking for a place to stay I was afraid we wouldn't be able to afford anything. If you are on a budget, go during the off-season. April was great because the weather wasn't too cold, and the lodging rates were very cheap. I think... more

The Colonial Inn has the perfect location right in the center of Edgartown. We stayed in a Queen suite which had two rooms, one a bedroom and the other a small livingroom with fireplace, television, couch and chair. It was extremely comfortable and very clean. When we asked for help with a heavy bag, someone appeared immediately. For convenient, clean,... more

We found the Colonial Inn to be exactly as represented. It is an old inn which has been kept up well. The rooms are small; not surprising for an older facility. We particularly enjoyed the 4th floor deck overlooking the harbor. Colonial is only a block from the waterfront and is in easy walking distance from the shopping and restaurants... more

We stayed at the Colonial Inn Sept. 23-25. Lovely property and great location! Rm 404-very clean, spacious room. Beautiful bed, bathroom was roomy and very clean. They had wooden blinds on the windows if you wanted to keep the sun out in the morning. You could open the windows which was wonderful, very airy. The 4th floor has a veranda... more
