After reading previous reviews, I was apprehensive about staying at the Cypress Bend Resort. My experience was good and I will stay again. My summary: 1. Front desk staff was weak. I was reluctant to book a room at this so-called resort after I read the 2 vastly different reviews that were already on the trip advisor page. One party gave the place 5 stars, the other only 1. We certainly appreciate feedback from all of our guests regarding their experience at our Resort - many times the guests who are the most critical of our services are the ones who motivate us to make changes to improve each situation presented. Regarding this posting from an obviously unhappy guest. The entire Resort will be a non-smoking establishment effective 1/1/07....

Thank you Cypress Bend for bringing relaxation and comfort to a stressful time. I was visiting my husband at Fort Polk in the days before he leaves for Iraq, when we took a trip to Cypress Bend in Many, LA. My husband and I and another couple stayed at Cypress Bend Resort the first weekend in May 2004. We ate in the restaurant, spent a considerable amount in the gift shop, and spent over seven hours total at the spa so I felt we received the full “Cypress Bend Resort Experience”. What a nightmare. The service received was inexplicably terrible.... more
