My family and I loved this property. It isn't fancy, but they have thought of everything to make the experience great. Our room was an efficiency that had a super comfy king size bed and a futon for our daughter (not very comfortable, but tolerable). The kitchen was supplied with everything we needed to cook with. The only negative was... more

Based largely on TripAdvisor reviews, we (2 adults) booked 2 nights at the “Tropical Shores” in Siesta Key – at least, that was what we thought. To make a long story short – be very careful and specific about which property you are actually lodging at. It turns out that the Tropical Shores Resort apparently operates the Tropical Shores Beach... more

We take guest feedback very seriously and were very concerned to read the review written by a recent guest. This guest reserved their accommodation on Expedia which describes Tropical Sun as being a less expensive option offering smaller bathroom areas. Furthermore the websites also go into greater detail of the different price point options. Tropical Sun is a very clean...

This place is absolutely awesome. We only stayed 2 nights but would have loved to stay more. The beach is close and it is wonderful. The sand is great the water is warm and there is a guy on the beach to set up chairs and umbrellas for you. The rooms are adorable and have everything you need. The parking... more

Only stayed for a couple days, but the service was paramount. Every member of the staff went out of their way to make my stay a pleasant one. The pools were great and it was only a 2 minute walk to the beach. I would recommend this resort to anyone with or without kids. Excellent, "AAA" Keep up the good... more

I had my doubts about the Tropical Sun but when i arrived i couldnt ask for more! Perfect location, BEAUTIFUL beaches, friendly staff, nice and quaint rooms. Everything was a dream. We booked the King Efficiency and as mentioned in a previous post it was great. It was kinda small but it had a full kitchen with all the forks,... more

We returned last week from a four-day stay at Tropical Sun Resort. We had a king bed efficiency room, and it was very comfortable, with a small but well-equipped kitchen, a small dressing area, and a tiny, but fairly nice bathroom. The shower was great! Plenty of hot water, and really good water pressure, which is important to us. The... more

Just got back from Tropical Sun a few days ago. It was so beautiful!! The beach was so beautiful! Clear water and the sand was so white and soft!! The room was so clean!!!!! So bright and sunny. The bathroom was on the small side, but we were okay with it. The ocean water was a bit cool for me.... more

My husband and I stayed for six nights at Tropical Sun. Everything was adequate, the bed was comfortable, the pool was fine, the beach was pretty. The room was small and cramped. the weather was so nice and hot we felt as though we needed to retreat to the air conditioned room to escape the intense sun and wished our room... more

I stayed at the Tropical Sun Resort recently and have to say it was probably the best value in Siesta Key. While most everything else was overpriced in the area, this hotel was modest, but affordable, clean and friendly. The location can't be beat and the heated pool and shuffleboard courts gave us a lot to do on the cooler... more

Very disappointing. Old facility that has been minimally updated in the past half century. Attempts made to clean by staff, but nothing compensates for decades old beds, plumbing, and peeling paint. There are other places on Siesta.....look elsewhere! more
