Over the 8 years my husband was in the military, we stayed at the SOG and at the Contemporary during the SOG renovations once. We have to say we love the SOG. Our first visit was for our honeymoon in 99’. I found out about the resort through the Birnbaum’s Disney guide book. I called to find out the prices... more

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about Shades of Green. I was very surprised when we arrived considering I had read both negative and positive comments. But my first encounter was with the front desk staff which were very pleasant and helpful. We arrived early so we were only allowed to pre-register at that time. But by 1330 our... more

I just wanted to tell anyone who is thinking of staying here at the SOG DO IT!!!!! It was a great hotel. From the moment we checked in at the front desk, the staff was super. They were very polite and helpfull. We had a few things that needed to be changed at check in and they were not the... more

Shades of Green is by far the best value at Disney. The rooms are very large and clean. We have stayed in both the older and newer sections on the property. Both were great. For our last visit in December 2007, our room overlooked the golf course. It was a fairly long walk from the lobby, but very peaceful and... more

In January we stayed in the older section... bleh. We'd been there years before and new it was a good deal especially since you're on the DisneyWorld property. but in February we booked with the hotel on the phone and requested the 'newer' section. What a difference! Modernly updated rooms that are MUCH more comfortable! We stayed at the property... more

Shades of Green was absolutely great. Our room was clean and quite large. We were in the newer section and were thrilled with everything. The staff was friendly. We ate in all three restaurants and did not have a bad meal. We ate at Mangino's on our last evening and my son( who is a cook) was wishing we had... more

We just returned from a one week stay at Shades of Green. We were very happy with our stay there and are already planning on coming back next year. The hotel is well maintained and the grounds are beautiful. Our room was very spacious and clean. I believe only the Floridian offers larger rooms on Walt Disney World. We had... more

I just got back from the SoG earlier today. I stayed for three days/two nights. The receptionist that checked me in was great! Went over all the necessary items I needed to know about the facility and getting around Disney. Of course, there's everything you'll need at the resort: AAFES, gift shop, internet cafe or in the room, plenty of... more

My wife and I (37) and two daughters (7 & 2) stayed at Shades of Green from March 30 through April 4, 2008 and were very pleased. We flew into Orlando Airport (MCO) and used Tiffany Towncars to get us to and from the lodge. I highly recommend this company for your transportaion needs. The roundtrip fee was very reasonable,... more

We were at shades of green April 8th-12th. It was the best. The rooms were HUGE and very clean. Order the pizza from Evergreens really good only $12.00 and they deliver (don't call room service- only one person working at a time- takes forever. The shuttle was great to take to the magic kingdom. We drove to the other parks,... more
