Very comfortable hotel with a nice bar area, free internet access, lovely pool and friendly staff. Only issue is that it is quiet a distance from south beach and the main tourist areas (30 dollars in a taxi). But overall this is a good airport hotel and would defo reccomend it more

My husband and I are very pleased with this lovely hotel. We were greeted warmly, even though we booked through a discount travel agency. Our room is large, king size bed and non smoking. The hotel has all the amenities we could want. (does not have a fridge, but we didn't need one, nor want one). I suppose a person... more

I liked the hotel. They added a lot of nice touches, such as the paintings on the walls and sculptures in the lobby. The pool was nice and clean, as well. You could tell in some places that the hotel had been renovated, but they did a good job. The only problem I found was with the cleanliness. The first... more

We thought this hotel would be convenient to the airport and looked exceptionally nice. We were kind of surprised to find that it was a longer drive than expected to the airport. It was situated near a runway however, and we heard planes landing all night long! Also, the photos on the site made it look MUCH nicer than the... more

I stayed there mid March and it needs a big do over. The Lobby is OK but the room is tired. Holes in the blackout, louvre missing on the closet, curtains do not shut properly and the bath tub was plain dirty with mold and a need for regrouting. The amount of noise from a garbage pick up at 6 am woke... more

We found this hotel through Trip Advisor and booked it through Travelocity. It is very difficult to get a hotel in the Miami area at this time of year for just one night. We were leaving on a cruise on the next day. A hotel shuttle circles through the Miami airport every half hour. you just go out and wave... more

We stayed at the Sofitel for one night pre cruise. This hotel is first class all the way. We were picked up at the airport by the hotel shuttle (that serves you cold bottled water) from a pleasant and helpful driver. The check in was quick and courteous from classy uniformed staff. The room was very comfortable, probably the best... more

We stayed one night as it's very close to the airport and we had an early departure. It's only a 5 min drive from the airport but you don't hear much plane noise. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size although the bathroom was slightly smaller than expected. The main point... more

The Sofitel Miami is located just 5 minutes by car from the Miami Airport. Half the rooms offer a nice view of the lagoon. The rooms are very spacious and feature the usual Sofitel bed (my favorite). The bathrrom were OK, but felt more like those you'd expect from a Hilton or a Marriott. Those driving will find the parking... more

Stayed at the Sofitel Miami pre-cruise for one night. Received a discount through a professional org.; wasn't dirt cheap but was much better than the advertised rate. Hotel shuttle from airport was speedy and we didn't wait long at the curb. Bed, as others have mentioned, was very nice. Firm, but not like a slab of rock. Our room was... more
