Good location if you are planning a stay in the upper Keys but way too far to commute to Key West which is 1.5hr drive away. Blue Waters survived Hurricane Wilma, and welcomed us with things in working order, no small fete in the Keys. We were impressed with the cleaniness of this older motel, complete with carport! We stayed in the Blue Waters in Feb, 2005, and had a very enjoyable experience. It is an older but very well kept up motel right on the Overseas Highway. It has a nice pool, a boat dock, lots of chairs, tables, etc. outside, even right by the gulf for enjoying the view and the countless pelicans. Our only objection... more
