On arriving at the hotel we were initially pleased with the surroundings, that is until we were shown to our room in "Block 8". I was horrified, I had booked this hotel as I was lead to believe it was " luxury in the Keys". The room was not even of a cheap Motel standard. The patio windows were broken... more

Having just returned from my trip to the Cheeca, I have to dispel most of the reviews I have read here. My family and I had a wonderful, relaxing, fun-filled vacation and plan to return to this beautiful destination. With 3 children, ages 12, 8 and 5, we enjoyed snorkeling in the salt water pool, swimming in the family pool,... more

We stayed three nights at the Cheeca Lodge with our 15 month old son. We had a Deluxe “newly renovated room” over looking the ocean on the third floor in the middle of the hotel. Here is a summary of our stay: Day 1: After arriving we had to wait 1.5 hours to get our room because it needed to... more

It is a gorgeous hotel situated on the beach, in beautiful grounds. Lovely pool areas and everything in general very luxurious. Good watersports. Good food. more

If you love boating, fishing, and the Keys lifestyle, you will love Cheeca Lodge. Islamorada is world famous for the fishing and the guides and the boat guys are the best there. Cheeca has a fantastic pier of its own you can tie up at. But Cheeca Lodge is only average. The property is over built. Pools are too small... more

We stayed at the Cheeca in April and had a wonderful stay. We were there on a Monday and Tuesday at the end of the high season so there wasn't much of a crowd. There is plenty to do in the area: Definitely go to Robbies, have a beer and watch folks feed the tarpon; spend the money and eat... more

Cheeca Lodge is a beautiful, lovely place to stay. Rooms were fabulous & property exceptional. The problem was with registration. We were quoted a price per night over the phone. At checkin the price was a different rate, higher of course. Talked with a manager & he was to check into things. Never heard back so at check out required... more

The property of the Cheeca Lodge & Spa is absolutely beautiful, but the service is absolutely horrible. We stayed there Memorial Day weekend and payed the inflated holiday rate of $400/ night; therefore, we were expecting the service to match that price. All of the employees that we came across seemed like they didn't like working at Cheeca, and so... more

We were very hesitant about staying at the Cheeca Lodge after reading a lot of the reviews online. We even thought about switching to another resort. We are so glad we didn't! The resort and the staff are just wonderful! We had a fabulous time! We would have to look long and hard to find one fault with Cheeca Lodge.... more

Just returned from a fabulous 5 days at Cheeca. I was concerned about staying here because of some of the negative reviews. It seems as if we stayed at a totally different property, everything was so nice.... service, room, housekeeping and wait staff. We stayed in a one bedroom king suite (renovated room). It was really nice. Small kitchen, living... more
