This motel could not even book the reservation the right way. A person named Kelly spoke of leaving my key under the mat of room if we arrived after closing time, essentially there would be no check in. She gave me no information on the room, no reservation number and simply took my credit card information. After deciding to call... more

We stayed at the Southwind Motel March 12-March 19 2008. This was our 7th trip to Key West. The first stay at the Southwind. We very much enjoyed our stay there. Linda the manager was very nice and we enjoyed talking with her. The pool was clean and the location was perfect. more

My wife and I booked a room for 1 night at the last minute, as we decided to take the cruise from Ft Myers to Key West & stay 1 night. Cottages are old & not the Hilton, Our cottage was clean and a good affordable place to lay your head for 1 night. After a night on Duval St.... more

This motel is affordable. The room featured remote controlled TV/air conditioning and ants. The room also had a 'patio area'. The pool was dirty and gross looking. We didn't pay very much for the room, so I didn’t expect very much. more

My wife booked/planned our trip to the Keys and this motel. We were there for 4 nights. I'll start with the positves. We felt it is a good location. The staff seemed helpful. Away from the loud nightlife that Duval street has to offer. Walking distance to several decent beaches. The Cuban store acrros the street has a nice market... more

The staff was very friendly and offered advice on places to see and restaurants that wont break your pockets. The pool was very very clean and big. I liked the fact that a store was across the street and if you... more

Okay, this isn't the Ritz. We can't afford to pay an arm and a leg for a motel. At the last minute we decided to go to Florida for my school system's spring break and wanted to spend a couple of nights in Key West. We got there around 9:30 p.m., stopped in this place, and got the last room... more
