The hotel is on a beautiful beach, nice and clean. The spa is superb and you can use the outdoor hot tub facilities late at night, very enjoyable sauna and steam rooms. The hotel rooms are classy with elegant furnishings. The lobby and public rooms are comfy with nice areas to sit and chat. A great place to relax and... more

OK, so this was my first stay at a Ritz-Carlton, and I had quite high expectations for this business trip. It must be quite a novelty to have guests from South Dakota, so the front desk clerk upgraded us to a gorgeous oceanfront room. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom was AMAZING! It was huge, with plenty... more

My husband, toddler and I went to the Ritz Amelia Island for vacation. We chose the Ritz because we got a good package deal online and because it is touted as a great family resort. I've been to the Ritz in DC before and so I had certain expectations. This hotel failed in the most critical area...customer service. But first... more

When we were planning our summer vacation, we were deciding between Amelia Island and the Wild Dunes in South Carolina. At first we chose the Wild Dunes, but after reading several positive reviews about the Ritz Carlton, and many negative reviews about the Wild Dunes, we changed our plans and are very happy we did. The grounds are beautiful and... more

I can't say I actually didn't enjoy our stay but it was different than other Ritz Carltons. This is a more casual hotel. There were many families with young children ,which as one would expect , affected the noise level. The staff was generally young and eager to please. It almost seemed as though this was a "training hotel". There... more

Our stay at the Ritz Carlton was very enjoyable, and the highlight hotel of a vaction itinerary that included stays in two other Florida luxury hotels during our 14 day trip. The staff were fantastic, and the hotel restaurants were great, in particular 'Salt' which was outstanding. On our 2nd visit we had the chef's tasting menu which was excellent.... more

We spent the weekend to celebrate a special occasion. We really enjoyed the pleasant staff and great location. The hotel shows a bit of wear, but it is on the beach, family friendly and has an excellent staff. The spa facilities and staff were wonderful. I would gladly stay here again and again. The breakfast buffet had wonderful southern style... more

We stayed at the Ritz Carlton, Amelia Island August 3-5,2008. Great location and great service as usual. rooms are clean, nice, comfortable. However, what should we say when water pressure is so low that it makes it almost impossible to shower? We had it 3 days in a row. We would not accept it even from any entry level hotel,... more

We had stayed at the resort earlier this year and it was great. We returned in July/August and we were disappointed with housekeeping. We had to request to have our room cleaned, we had to wash our own drinking glasses/wine glasses as the used ones were not replaced with clean ones, and we had to call the front desk to... more

After a less than relaxing trip to Hollywood, FL, this was the right place to be. Everything we want and more! Beautiful room with a balcony, nice coffee shop, great casual dinners and lunches by the pool. Absoluetly great views enhanced by thoughtful landscaping. What is particularly nice is that you can spend hours on the beach with an umbrella... more
